**Even the Night Couldn’t Silence Her Light**
**Chapter 283: The Secret Revealed**
“Yes, Hubert and you are full siblings. You were born just a few minutes before him.”
“Then, then, that means… Mr. Jackson is…”
Tatiana felt a lump form in her throat as she hesitated, gathering her thoughts. Finally, she managed to utter the words that would forever change Ann’s world: “Your biological father.”
Ann stood there, her eyes wide with disbelief, her mind racing to comprehend the enormity of the revelation.
Hubert was her biological brother…
Jasper was her father…
The weight of this overwhelming truth pressed down on Ann’s small shoulders, almost too much for her tender heart to handle. The room seemed to spin as she tried to process the implications of what her mother had just said.
With a dry chuckle that masked her own turmoil, Tatiana added, “I only discovered this not long ago, too.”
“Mommy, was it Chandler who did this?”
This question caught Tatiana off guard, and she felt a jolt of surprise. “How did you know that?” she asked, her voice a mixture of curiosity and concern.
“I saw it. You and Chandler seemed strange. He kept saying he was sorry.” Ann’s brow furrowed, her little hands twisting together anxiously.
“Why would Chandler do that?”
“I don’t know,” Tatiana admitted, her heart aching for her daughter’s confusion.
“He shouldn’t have done that,” Ann stated firmly, her voice small but resolute.
“Yes, he was wrong,” Tatiana agreed, feeling the weight of their shared distress.
As Ann’s words became tangled, her emotions spilling over, she fell silent, overwhelmed by the whirlwind of feelings. Finally, she found solace in her mother’s embrace.
“Shh, Ann doesn’t need to talk. Don’t force yourself to react right now,” Tatiana whispered soothingly, gently stroking her daughter’s back.
Ann nestled into her mother’s arms, finding comfort in the warmth. After a long pause, she finally murmured, “Mommy, I have a little brother.”
“Yes, you’re a big sister now,” Tatiana replied, her heart swelling with a mix of pride and sorrow.
“I also have a father,” Ann continued, her voice filled with innocent wonder.
Tatiana chose to let that statement hang in the air, her heart heavy with unspoken thoughts.
Then, unexpectedly, Ann broke into a giggle, rubbing her cheek against her mother’s neck playfully. “Mommy, I’m so happy! Hubert is my brother.”
Tatiana smiled, brushing her fingers through Ann’s soft hair. “I’m happy, too, sweetheart.”
“Mommy, don’t tell Hubert yet. Let me tell him!” Ann exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
“Alright,” Tatiana agreed, amused by her daughter’s enthusiasm.
“Mommy, will you be with Mr. Jackson?” Ann asked, her curiosity evident.
“Little children need to go to sleep early and shouldn’t talk too much,” Tatiana responded gently, trying to steer the conversation away from the heavy topics of the day.
With a satisfied sigh, Ann let her eyes flutter shut, surrendering to sleep.
As Tatiana tucked her children in, she felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her. She stepped quietly out of the room, her mind still racing with the day’s revelations.
Unable to find rest, she made her way to the study, where she pulled out the original score she had been refining. The emotions of the day surged within her, demanding to be expressed.
