After speaking, Emery finally noticed that Terrence was

holding their mom, who had her eyes tightly shut, was soaked

all over, and had dirty hands. He was about to ask what was

wrong with her, but then he remembered how embarrassed she

made him at the quilting contest today, so he swallowed his

Eliza said carefully, “I saw Mr. McConnell at home. Taking him.

Terrence was really annoyed and just picked Krista up and put

her in another car.

Terrence asked the driver to take Krista to the hospital.

Emery came out and squeezed into Krista’s car.

Terrence’s face darkened, “What are you doing? Your mom was

in my car. I was driving that car. Come with me.”

But Emery grabbed Krista’s arm and said with a pout, “Kristal

stayed with me for so long today, and she got hurt. I want to

stay with her too. Mom has you, right? You can be with Mom,

but Krista is all alone. She’s hurt worse than Mom, and it’s so sad

for her to be by herself.“”
