Chapter307
Julio pressed answer.
“Beth.”
“It’s me.”
Kyson heard Julio’s voice, “You guys together?”
“Yeah.”
Kyson could tell Julio was still a bit smug, and that feeling of
treating him like a love rival was especially obvious.
But Kyson didn’t mind. It was totally normal.
Childhood friend, neighbor.
So many years had passed, maybe the feelings started when we
were young.
It wasn’t easy, to be honest.
“Which hospital was it? Please give me the address.””
“Okay, I hung up, I’ll send you my location.””
Julio ended the call and added Kyson as a friend on his phone.
Might as well take advantage of this good chance to learn more about the rival.
After Kyson got approved, Julio sent the hospital location and room number to Kyson.
Bethany finished eating, Julio took the food box and threw it in the trash.
When Julio turned around, Bethany signed, “The minimally invasive surgery is done, and it seems like I don’t need any shots or anything. Can I be discharged?”
“Watched you all night, no bad reactions, you can go home tomorrow. For changing the dressing and stuff, I could come to
your place and take care of it.”
That was pretty convenient.
She didn’t want to hold things up, either.
She was different from others, she didn’t have much time.
She needed to go meet Davon again and get ready to start
working.
In her spare time, she also needed to quickly find out which
at treating liver diseases, then go get
checked, and learn more about cancer to see if there was any hope.
She finally got out of her old life. She wanted to start over as soon as possible and get her life back to normal.
Kyson came to the hospital with a fruit basket and flowers.
The strong–scented perfume lilies instantly lifted people’s mood, and Bethany had a smile on her face when she got the flowers.
Julio suddenly realized he had actually forgotten to buy flowers…
He also thought it wasn’t good to make a move too obviously since Bethany wasn’t divorced yet, but Kyson didn’t hold back at all.
Kyson was still Terrence’s friend.
Since that was the case, he had nothing to hide.
He was going to buy fresh flowers tomorrow too, and he still wanted to buy roses!
Kyson sat down by Bethany’s bed, looking really worried, and
asked Bethany, “Are you feeling any better?”
Bethany was texting Kyson on her phone.
Kyson wanted to say something else to her. He turned to Julio
and said, “Dr. Mendez, could you please step out for a moment? I
have something to say to Beth in private.”
Julio froze for a second, Kicking me out already?
He wasn’t at ease.
He looked at Bethany, and Bethany nodded slightly, meaning
she was willing to talk to Kyson alone.
Julio had no choice, so he just went out.
