Chapter38
Everyone in the McConnell family felt that she had married up by marrying Terrence.
So, every time she went to the McConnell’s manor, everyone treated her with condescension.
Because she loved Terrence deeply, she endured everything, always facing him with a smile, doing her best to do anything and everything, trying to make them happy.
She thought her efforts could make them see her goodness.
Just like she thought she could warm Terrence’s heart.
The result was simply impossible.
I couldn’t even raise my own son, who I carried for ten months,
let alone some people who have no blood relationship.
Bethany deleted the information and blacklisted all the contact
details of the McConnell family.
The McConnell’s manor, study.
Randy had a prominent vertical wrinkle on his forehead.
“Terrence and Bethany used to consider the McConnell family’s
matters very important, why would they suddenly refuse to come and celebrate my birthday?”
How could I know what she was going crazy about?
Randy’s aged and cloudy gaze sank, “She was your wife, what
are you saying.”
Randy knew Terrence’s temperament. If Terrence was willing
to listen to him and accept the arranged marriage he had planned, why would he need to look for Bethany?
He would never allow Terrence and Krista to rekindle their old
relationship.
Terrence leaned casually against the back of the armchair, his thin lips forming a straight line, his deep cold eyes fixed on
Randy.
“You were quite protective of her.”
Terrence’s sharp gaze made Randy very uncomfortable.
Terrence grew up, and the feeling of being out of control
became more and more apparent.
“You married her, had a son, and of course, I didn’t want to see
any problems in your marriage.”
Terrence suddenly chuckled, “Did you really just not want to see my marriage in trouble?”
Randy’s dark lips quivered several times as his wrinkled hands
tightly gripped the cane.
“Terrence, don’t be silly.”
“I had my own sense of propriety. Shouldn’t you have given me an explanation for helping her with the public marriage
certificate?”
Randy’s yellowed pupils contracted tightly, “We have been married for seven years, our son is already six years old, what
can’t be made public?”
Terrence’s slender fingers tapped the sofa gently, “Did she tell
you like this?”
Randy was somewhat puzzled, “Terrence, what do you mean by
that?”
If she hadn’t agreed to any conditions, would you have used the
official account of the McConnell Group to publicly disclose our
marriage certificate?
Randy seemed to suddenly understand something.
“Are you not going to hold a grudge against her for this matter, causing her to refuse to come back in anger?” Randy’s face softened a lot. “It has nothing to do with her, it’s my own fault.”
Terrence looked skeptical and stopped tapping his fingers on the
sofa.
No wonder she said she didn’t.
Still didn’t know what he was saying.
Terrence’s handsome features sank.
Randy slowly stood up and said, “If she wasn’t happy, you should really think if it’s your own
your own problem. You really have a
confused mind and can’t grasp the main point!”
After saying that, Randy walked out of the study.
After having dinner at the McConnell’s manor, Terrence
returned to Vespera Villa.
He came in holding a sleeping Emery.
Eliza stepped forward and took Emery from his hands.
“Where is Mrs. McConnell?“
