Chapter451
He wasn’t in a good mood at all. Seeing that she had someone
else by her side, seeing that she didn’t put all her attention on
him and their son anymore, he couldn’t keep it together.
He knew very well she wasn’t the kind of woman who yelled
her head off. It was all because he was the one at fault first. No
matter how unhappy he was, he still wanted to treat her more
gently.
“So, you were planning to stay here with me until the cooling-
off period was over?”
“Not really, a week is enough, let’s be together this week.”
He didn’t take her out alone, so he basically didn’t get a chance
to spend time with her.
If he didn’t spend time with her, how could he win her heart
back.
“I don’t trust you. Every time I gave in, when did you ever keep
your word? Terrence, I want to go back. If I can’t go back
today…” Bethany looked at the sea not far away, her eyes firm,
“then just wait to fish my body out of that sea up ahead.”

She looked away and turned her eyes to him.
“No, maybe it didn’t get received, after all, the ocean was so big.”
The lines on Terrence’s lips were almost pulled tight, “Is being
with me really that hard for you to accept? You’d rather die?”
“That’s right!”
It just felt this bad.
Good terms, good breakup, maybe she still remembered how
good he used to be.
The failure of the marriage was her wrong choice.
She didn’t put all the blame on him.
These people pushing her so hard were what she really hated.
She just wanted to live a life of her own, but he even tried to
stop that little wish.
Bethany looked at him sadly, “You’re not a clueless person. Don’t
you know what our marriage has become? There are only a bit
more than twenty days left. What’s the point of dragging this
out?”
“Beth, most failed marriages were because of cheating, family

issues, and no communication. Now you wanted a divorce, but
shouldn’t we sit down and talk about what our problems were?
If we could fix them, we could try. If we really couldn’t, then we
could get divorced. That was the best way for a marriage to go
from start to finish. Why couldn’t we talk?”
Bethany sneered, “Looks like you knew it all.”
He knew everything, but he could act like he knew nothing.
“I’ve been thinking a lot lately, Beth, sorry, we’ve been married
for seven years, I thought everything was normal before, if you
want to go back today, that’s fine, sit down, let’s talk?”
Terrence reached out and pointed to the seat across from him.
Bethany didn’t sit down and said, “We’re way past the talking
stage.”
