Inside Nameless Death’s Shadow Space.
Even while his main body fought against Berserker, Barbatos, and Zagreus, he hadn’t stopped working.
In the background, a clone had been working tirelessly on the two foundations of his Path—[The Heavenly Record] and [The Nine Heavens].
The Nine Heavens were nine pseudo-worlds being created within the Womb of Devils.
And the Heavenly Record was the computational core—the brain, so to speak—that would monitor, store, and expand everything about the Path itself.
It was like a living system, crafted from memory and knowledge of Nameless Death himself.
For a long time, the project had been stagnant.
He couldn’t create life-forms that could pass on its gene of Heavenbreaker.
But now, something changed.
A voice echoed throughout the world.
Path of Eternal Transcendence.
Within the First Heaven, a flicker of life appeared.
It wasn’t a normal life, or a life that was a Heavenbreaker.
It was something else, something more evolutionary.
A child with a Heavenbreaker gene.
A child capable of passing that potential on.
Then, almost like dominoes, it happened in the other Heavens.
A life appeared in each Heaven.
All nine of them were Heavenbreakers and could pass on that gene.
Nameless Death’s clone, now being controlled by Nameless Death, looked at them.
"Finally. It’s done."
Without delay, he snapped his fingers.
His shadow summons moved instantly.
Nine of them, each molded to act as guardians and guides, flew to the Heavens to care for the children.
It wasn’t about training them to fight.
They were still just children, after all.
Heavenbreakers or not, they’d need time, safety, and nurturing.
The shadow summons would keep them safe, take care of them, and teach them everything they needed.
He had done this before for other children, even ones that who didn’t become a Heavenbreaker.
Then, he turned to the side.
Floating above the center of the structure was the final Womb of Devil.
[The Heavenly Record]
The black cube-like device pulsed softly, rotating slowly as data swirled through it.
Countless equations, images, runes, and memories circled inside, forming a visual storm of information.
It was the womb that held the devil’s thoughts.
And the foundation that would manage his Path.
"I know there is a lot you want to talk about, but we have a problem to handle," Nameless Death said, still watching through the clone’s eyes. "Come out and meet me there."
He disconnected from the clone.
...
Zagreus’ POV
There was silence in the broken battlefield.
Berserker, Barbatos, and Zagreus stood still, their eyes locked onto Nameless Death.
The air around him had changed.
It wasn’t just his aura and presence.
His existence felt different.
It was stronger, more solidified.
And with each second, it was evolving.
Zagreus clenched his fists.
The problem wasn’t the Nameless Death’s Existence that was growing stronger.
It was what it meant.
Nameless Death had completed his Path.
That was the terrifying part.
All of them knew Nameless Death’s Path held infinite potential.
It was why they had been trying to stop it from being completed, or else there would be no meaning to the battle right now.
’What can his Path even do now?’ Zagreus thought.
Nameless Death slowly raised his hand.
A small, black cube floated out from his shadow and hovered above him.
The cube twitched.
It scanned the battlefield, then slowly floated down toward Nameless Death’s head.
After a second of eerie silence, it reshaped itself, turning into a black halo that hovered above his skull.
Then, something shifted again, but this time, it wasn’t visible to the others.
Lines appeared before Nameless Death.
He could see them clearly.
[Initiating Heavenly Record.]
[Initiation Complete.]
He paused, staring at the prompts.
It looked exactly like a system screen.
But far more refined than any system he’d seen before.
It didn’t surprise him.
Of course it looked like this.
The whole structure was supposed to be easy to understand for others.
And somehow, Nameless Death felt this type of system screen was something he was familiar with when using it to teach and guide others.
[Do you wish to register in the Heavenly Record?]
He didn’t hesitate.
"Yes."
[Registering Neo Hargraves.]

Nameless Death blinked once.
The messages were coming in fast, but he was processing all of them.
He noticed Barbatos and Zagreus hadn’t moved yet. Neither had Berserker.
Were they cautious?
Or, were they scared?
Whatever the reason, their hesitation gave him a moment to finish reading the interface.
He asked a question silently, through thought.
’So what can you do now?’
The system replied in a clear voice only he could hear.
[Right now, I can only use the abilities you already possess. Those are the only things stored in me.]
[Though, this will change when the inhabitants of the Nine Heavens grow stronger. As you already expected, this will take time.]
Nameless Death gave a faint smile.
True, he had expected that.
The Heavenly Record, despite being complete, was a long-term investment.
[Stop.]
