Chapter 154.
A
Anne, who had been watching the whole time, couldn’t hold back any longer and jumped in to defend Mason “Miss Cooper, Mason barely slept last night. He took care of everything ahead of time, just so he could he here today…
“Anne,” Mason called out, interrupting her.
He shook his head gently at her, signaling her to stop.
Anne hesitated for a moment, then sighed and quietly went back to folding clothes.
“Don’t listen to Anne,” Mason said, lips pressed together, his long, slender fingers gently releasing her wrist one by one. “Go on and take care of your stuff; no need to trouble yourself about me.”
Honestly, with that tone, he was laying it on so thick–the act was almost shamelessly sweet.
And as his fingers let go of her wrist, one at a time, it was like some giant loyal pup unwillingly releasing its hold on its owner’s sleeve. Sienna couldn’t help but picture giving him a head pat, the scene almost too cute for words.
Sienna looked over at Mason. His cold, devilishly handsome face now showed clear dark circles beneath his
eyes.
It was obvious he hadn’t slept a wink last night.
Sienna felt her heart melt a little, all soft and fuzzy inside, a tingling warmth spreading through her.
So, her heart softened a little, and her tone also mellowed. “I really do have something urgent to handle, and I’m short on time. There’s nothing I can do about it.”
She paused, then added, “I’ll try to finish everything today so that I can stay at home tomorrow.”
The word “home” made Mason’s eyes spark with a glimmer of hope.
In that instant, all the gloom swirling inside him was swept away, replaced by a rush of joy he couldn’t hide, especially after hearing those words from her.
He was sure Sienna was feeling bad about him losing sleep.
He knew she was starting to soften towards him, showing that she really cared.
‘When a woman starts to truly care about a man…
‘That’s how love begins, whether she realizes it or not!‘ Mason thought to himself.
But just as his heart was soaring, Sienna’s cool voice cut through the moment. “Mason, you really don’t have to sacrifice your own time or disrupt your routine for me.
“This villa is perfectly safe, and I can totally live here by myself. Seriously, you don’t need to move in on my

account. I’d hate for you to miss out on your own stuff because of me”
Mason was left speechless.
Well, Mason thought, actually a bit defeated.
I completely forgot. he sighed inwardly.
The girl I’m trying to win over is hopelessly clueless when it comes to romance/
Anne watched from the sidelines, shaking her head in quiet defeat.
Suchers
Looks like Mason’s quest to win this girl’s heart is going to be a real uphill battle, she thought, sighing inwardly.
Anyone could see that Sienna wasn’t playing coy or teasing at all–she was just genuinely and sincerely thinking about Mason’s well–being, speaking with clear honesty and concern.
But it was exactly this sincerity and honesty that made every word sound like she was carefully keeping Mason at arm’s length.
It was as if she were purposefully drawing boundaries, signaling she didn’t want things to cross that line.
She just had no clue that all Mason really wanted was to stick to her like glue, every single moment.
Still, this kind of pure–heartedness in Sienna was unmistakable.
Mason understood exactly what Sienna meant.
Truth was, the girl he liked was just used to handling everything on her own–never depending on anyone for anything. ‘Seriously, she’s always been like this. No wonder winning her over is such a challenge,‘ Mason thought, a mix of admiration and exasperation rising inside him.
He sighed, steeling himself. “Alright… I’ll come with you.”
At this, Sienna’s eyes widened instinctively.
‘Wait, he’s actually coming with me to Yara Bloom?‘ Sienna tensed up, the thought making her uneasy.
‘Wouldn’t that just blow my cover on the spot?
‘If Mason ever figured out that I’m actually Aeris–the designer who hustled him out of billions… That’s not a conversation I want to have,‘ she thought, her heart jumping uneasily.
Sure, it took two to tango, and Mason wasn’t exactly duped–he knew what he was signing up for.
But still, this just had trouble written all over it.
Honestly, she’d be better off not stirring the pot.
Trying to explain it all would be a nightmare.

“That’s really not necessary,” Sienna replied decisively. “I’ve just got some work stuff to deal with–I can handle it by myself. You barely slept last night and spent all morning in the kitchen making this amazing meal. Seriously, Mason, just relax at home and catch up on some rest.” Sienna said.
Mason was always good at knowing when to let things go.
He didn’t insist anymore. “The car keys are on the counter if you need them.”
“I’ll just take Ben’s car,” Sienna said. Mason’s car was way too conspicuous–everyone would notice it.
Just seeing that license plate, folks all over Orlathis would recognize it instantly.
Ben’s Porsche might still be worth a few hundred grand, but it was an older model from years back.
In Orlathis, at least, it didn’t stand out all that much.
Mason had Ben bring over the car keys for Sienna, and as he handed them to her, he reminded her, “No matter how busy you get, don’t forget to eat dinner.”
Sienna nodded, took the keys, and turned to leave the villa.
Before long, an old black Porsche rolled out of the villa.
Mason stood at the doorway, a tide of darkness swirling in his eyes.
Anne comforted him, “Mr. Mason, Miss Cooper just hasn’t realized it yet. Take it slow.”
Mason narrowed his dark, intense eyes, watching the car until it vanished from sight.
He finally looked away.
The cold allure in his face, so pronounced before Sienna, was gone now.
“I know.”
He forced himself to suppress those thoughts rising inside.
Thoughts he shouldn’t have.
They weren’t right for him, especially not for Sienna.
The girl he wanted was unlike anyone else.
He needed patience.
He needed it to win her heart step by step.
But, well…he had to admit it.
The process of winning her over was trying.

Chapter 154
Sienna arrived at Yara Bloom’s headquarters.
Mavis was practically bursting with excitement, and the whole team was completely losing their minds.
Mavis greeted Sienna like she was meeting a living legend, all reverence and pure adrenaline as she ushered her into the studio. “Sienna, how do you keep pulling these insane surprises? You dropped a boatload of design drafts on me overnight, and now you showed up in person at HQ! Wait–are you really about to bless me with another pile? Dozens–no, scratch that–hundreds of brand new designs?”
As she spoke, Mavis’s eyes were literally sparkling, glued to the canvas bag slung over Sienna’s shoulder.
She looked ready to snatch the bag right out of Sienna’s hands that very second.
“I’m here to finish up that evening gown,” Sienna said, pulling off her canvas bag and stuffing it into her locker.
As she changed into her work clothes, she asked, “Is the draft ready yet?”
Mavis stared at the locker door, still a little bummed it didn’t just spit out dozens more of those legendary design drafts–she was honestly half–expecting it to rain sketches every time Sienna showed up.
But as soon as Sienna mentioned the evening gown, Mavis’s excitement shot right back up.
“Those concept drawings are next–level genius! No wonder that billionaire was ready to throw 300 million at it! Sienna, if I had that kind of cash, I’d be begging you for a custom order myself!” Mavis said.
The two of them headed into the private studio.
Sienna nodded and was instantly in the zone.
She gave the first mock–up a thorough once–over, then pointed out a few tweaks and fixes for the details.
Two hours later, after double–checking everything was spot–on, Sienna gave a nod. “As soon as the first sample’s out, make sure to let me know right away. I’m off to start designing the next gown.”
Mavis’s eyes went wide. “Another one? Don’t tell me we’ve got another billionaire looking to drop a mountain of cash on an evening gown?”
Sienna gave her a sideways glance. “Where do you think all these filthy rich people are hiding? Even if they had money to burn, it’s not like they’d really just toss it around for fun.”
‘Honestly, Mason’s the only guy out there bold–or crazy–enough to pull a stunt like that,’ Sienna thought to herself.
She rolled out a fresh sheet of sketch paper and set to work on a gown just for Sophie–capturing every bit of her signature style in the design.
Pretty soon, a completely different dress emerged on the page, with a vibe that was worlds apart from Mason’s original request.

Still, she managed to blend in a lot of Mason’s clever little suggestions–right down to the fabric and those subtle details.
Same concept, but the two were unique styles.
Sienna glanced over her work, secretly pleased with herself. ‘Nice! This is exactly the look I was going for, she thought.
‘Gotta hand it to Mason,‘ she mused, ‘his offbeat requests really kicked my inspiration into high gear!
Sienna jumped right into the fray, teaming up with the master couturiers to craft every stitch by hand–no shortcuts, just pure artistry in action.
Scissors snipped through the air, needles zipped back and forth–a whirlwind of movement and skill.
Each detail was cut with razor–sharp precision, every edge tailored to absolute perfection.
All that remained in the studio was the rhythmic hum of machines, mingling with the quiet focus that filled the air.
Outside, daylight melted into golden dusk until nightfall quietly draped itself over the city.
