Fake Heiress Real Trouble (Sienna) novel Chapter 30

Chapter 30

Lauren gaped, his face turning a bruised mix of blue and purple from bottled-up fury, his expression a wild tangle of shock and crumbling self-control. “Professor Sharp? As in the national treasure himself-Patrick from Disey University? The guy heading up the country’s top-secret research projects? You’re overdoing it now, aren’t you? Actually getting someone to pose as Professor Sharp?

“You do realize impersonating a high-level government official is a serious crime, right? Who the hell do you think you are, cooking up these ridiculous stories just to flex?”

He thrust a finger at the general manager by the door. “I’m starting to wonder where she swiped that access pass from-probably lifted it! You need to check her ID right this second. She doesn’t belong…”

Sienna stopped short, tilting her head just enough to fix her gaze on the general manager. “These people are too noisy.”

Lauren sneered. “Oh yeah? Annoyed by us and want the manager to toss us out? Think you can actually make that happen? We’re VIPS here-every single person in this room is a regular at the Golden Throne Club. No chance the manager would ever…”

But he didn’t get to finish.

The general manager dipped into a deep, respectful bow toward Sienna. “Miss Cooper, I understand perfectly.”

He snatched up his walkie-talkie. “Security team to 6103, now. Clear the room! Get everyone’s names on file and slap them on the permanent blacklist. Move!”

“What? Are you out of your mind?” The room exploded with incredulous shouts.

Ernest’s face twisted into a thunderous scowl, his eyes cold and stormy.

Still… No amount of yelling made a difference.

Security poured in, efficient as clockwork, and “escorted” the whole lot of them out. They didn’t spare a shred of dignity.

One after another, they got hurled out like yesterday’s garbage-right in front of the milling crowds of guests, kicked to the curb without ceremony. All on the strength of Sienna’s one offhand comment.

“Sienna, I’ll see you out.” Alvin scampered after her, eyes shining with pure awe as he stared up at his idol, every inch the devoted fanboy itching to be her top hype man.

Sienna shook her head. “No thanks. Head back and let the crew know to enjoy themselves-bill’s on me. I’ve got to bounce and deal with something.”

Alvin bobbed his head enthusiastically. “Sure thing, Sienna. But how’re you getting…?”

“It’s on my way.” Mason sauntered over, one hand tucked in his pocket, trailing them with his usual laid-back stride.

Sienna glanced up, her eyes lingering on his strikingly perfect features. The look he gave her held a depth that was… tough to read, heavy with hidden meaning.

She wasn’t thrilled about it.

“Aren’t you racing home to patch things up?” Mason’s lips quirked into a grin. “Ride with me-I’m quick.”

Sienna hesitated for a split second. “…Okay.”

Mason’s grin widened with satisfaction. He lengthened his stride, matching her pace with effortless, lazy poise.

Alvin stood frozen behind them, jaw hanging as he watched their backs.

He wondered, ‘What the heck have I just overheard? Mason claiming he… is quick? How quick are we talking?

Three seconds?’

The Maybach cruised steadily along the street, the cabin hushed and still.

Mason lounged with one hand on the wheel, his dark gaze locked on the road, though he stole occasional sidelong glances at Sienna’s stunning profile, catching the faint tightness around her eyes and brows.

“Seems like a real grind waiting for you at home,” his deep, gravelly voice rumbled through the quiet space, magnetic and seductive. “Grab some shut-eye in here. Favor’s on the house-you can square up later.”

Sienna turned, her clear, luminous eyes meeting his briefly before she gave a quiet “Okay.”

His voice had a oddly calming quality, melting away the tension etched in her features. And Mason… he knew how to read the room.

To her surprise, she didn’t feel imposed on at all. If anything, the subtle, woody pine scent wafting through the car brought an unexpected wave of solid, reassuring peace.

She shut her eyes, her thick, dark lashes fluttering down. Her mind, though, spun like a high-precision machine.

The “Wonder” system’s code and data frameworks assembled swiftly in her head-likely breach points, failure nodes, data streams-all cycling through rapid projections and rebuilds.

The ride slipped by in unbroken silence. The car eased into the Cooper family estate without a single hitch.

Sienna opened her eyes, her clear gaze now sharp and focused after the whirlwind of mental computations.

She unbuckled her seatbelt, swung open the door, and stepped out, pausing in front of the car. Her demeanor was cool and detached, but still polite. “Thanks, Mr. Brown.”

Mason lounged with one hand casually draped over the window, his thin lips quirking slightly as he corrected her. “Call me Mason.”

Bathed in the warm yellow glow of the lights outside the main house, his cool, godlike features took on an even more otherworldly perfection-like a banished immortal, utterly flawless.

With a quick flick of his finger, he slipped a sleek black card into Sienna’s hand. “Don’t forget to return the favor for this ride.”

He didn’t wait for a reply, just waved casually, his long, graceful fingers glinting distractingly in the light. “I won’t keep you.”

Sienna glanced down at the card, which featured nothing but a string of gold-embossed numbers.

“Sure.” She nodded briefly, pocketed it, and headed inside.

Mason kept his arm on the window, watching her silhouette fade from sight, the corner of his mouth slowly lifting into a knowing, enigmatic grin.

Back at home, Sienna found Rolf and her parents all perched on the living room sofa, clearly waiting up for

her.

The second she walked in, Pansy jumped up and rushed over. “Sienna, there you are!”

Gerard and Rolf both turned toward her.

Sienna nodded, her attention shifting to the unfamiliar face on the sofa.

He was a guy in his early thirties, dressed in a sharp gray suit and gold-rimmed glasses. His vibe was warm and polished, with a smile that hit just the right note.

“This is your big brother Theo,” Pansy explained, grabbing Sienna’s hand for a quick intro. “He wrapped up some work at the company today and came straight home just to meet you.”

Sienna greeted him dutifully. “Theo.”

Theo Cooper rose to his feet, his smile genuine, and produced a subtly elegant gift box from behind his back. “Sienna, welcome home. Here’s a small token from me.”

His eyes lingered on her face as he took in this long-lost sister who’d just been brought back into the fold.

She’d clearly gotten the best of their parents’ genes-hands down, the most stunning face in the Cooper family.

His gaze softened even more. “How are you settling in?”

Sienna took the box and met his kind eyes. The concern in them was real.

It warmed her a little inside, though she felt a pang of guilt for what she was about to say.

“Thanks, Theo. I’m fitting in great.” Her voice was sincere. “I really appreciate the gift, but… sorry, I’ve got some super urgent work that can’t wait. Once I handle it, I’ll carve out time to chat properly.”

Her brows knit with deep concentration, a hint of urgency creeping into her expression.

“Go ahead, get to it!” Rolf waved her off without prying into the details. “It’s late already-knock it out quick.”

“Yeah, Sienna, don’t let us slow you down,” Pansy added, her face etched with worry. “Work’s important, but don’t push yourself too hard.”

Gerard nodded. “Anything you need, just ask the help.”

Sienna thanked them one by one, then gave Theo an apologetic glance.

“It’s all good-I understand. I’ll stick around,” he said, giving her shoulder a reassuring pat, brotherly and natural.

Sienna flashed a quick smile, gift box in hand, and hurried upstairs to her room.

Off to the side, Amanda clutched a sheaf of research data, her cold stare tracking Sienna’s every step.

She bit her lip hard. She thought, ‘What ‘urgent matter’ could a high-school dropout from the sticks possibly have? Something bigger than the Cooper family itself?

‘And that whole performance-barely acknowledging the gift Theo has picked out so carefully! It is obviously just a stunt to come off as all independent and make everyone pity her. So manipulative!’

Amanda’s grip tightened on the papers as she shifted her focus to Theo. She smoothed out her expression in a flash and scooted closer to Theo, who’d just settled back in.

In a tone that sounded offhand but carried a perfect dash of playful coaxing, she said, “Theo, try not to sweat it. Sienna is new here-she probably doesn’t… quite grasp the family rules or how we do things yet. It’ll sort itself out once she’s free.”
