Chapter 65
Chapter 65
135 VOUCHER
“Boss?” Jessica’s voice suddenly turned sharp, and the phone in her hand fell to the ground with a thud.
She stared wide-eyed, looking at the approaching old man in disbelief.
Having done her homework on wealthy families, she naturally understood what a significant figure the owner of Moon Restaurant was!
Moon Restaurant was the number one restaurant in Orlathis City, pulling in millions of dollars in revenue every single day. Not to mention the vast business empire behind it!
She had heard rumors that the owner of Moon Restaurant was none other than the head of a legendary conglomerate in Aurathen.
And the elderly man she and Hazel had just mocked, pointed fingers at, and insulted was actually that unfathomable, mysterious mogul.
It wasn’t just Jessica who was petrified.
Hazel, who had just argued with the old man, went weak in the legs and knelt limply on the ground.
The old man, Harrison Greer, had already walked up to the ashen-faced Jessica.
There was still a refined smile on his lips, but the sharpness in his eyes made Jessica’s heart turn cold.
Harrison was still smiling. “Little girl, what you said just now was very interesting. Come on, I happen to be right here. I would also like to hear you talk about how Miss Cooper and I are entangled with each other. Also, how did she sell her body to get close to me? Such a wonderful story, we should talk about it properly.”
His voice was not loud, and his tone was as gentle as an elder’s. But each word was like a heavy hammer, hitting Jessica’s heart hard.
Jessica’s face went pale, and her lips trembled uncontrollably.
Her legs trembled nonstop, and tears welled up uncontrollably, but she couldn’t utter a word.
“What? Can’t you say it in front of me?” Harrison chuckled, his tone still very calm.
He lazily lifted his eyes and swept a glance at Hazel, who was standing by the door of Moon Restaurant, her face drained of all color.
“If you won’t speak, then I will.” Harrison’s tone remained as even as ever. “That white truffle lobster bisque you just knocked over was worth over 400 thousand dollars, wasn’t it?”
Jessica’s lips trembled incessantly. She didn’t expect that the owner of Moon Restaurant would bring up the soup again.
But Harrison was the owner of Moon Restaurant! A man of immense wealth and power! 400 thousand dollars to him was nothing, like 400 dollars to an ordinary person. Yet he still brought it up as though nitpicking.
Harrison raised a hand and beckoned to the manager. “400 thousand dollars, plus public defamation and slander, damaging my own reputation and that of our distinguished guest, Miss Cooper. Rhodri, how many years do you think that would get them?”
The lobby manager answered respectfully, “Property damage exceeding 300 thousand dollars, combined with public slander and defamation. It calls for financial restitution and a case for reputational harm. Multiple charges combined… ten years minimum.”
“Prison… time?” Jessica’s face turned pale. “I… I didn’t. I wasn’t defaming. Ob-obviously…”
“Obviously what?” Harrison narrowed his eyes slightly. “You didn’t knock over that soup? You weren’t the one spreading rumors here just now?”
“I…” Jessica opened her mouth, wanting to say something.
Harrison cut her off with a faint smile. “No need to rush to deny it, little girl. Moon Restaurant has cameras installed in every corner.”
Jessica bit her lower lip.
She had just returned to the Fairbank family and hadn’t enjoyed her good life for long. She didn’t want to go
back to her former life!
Prison was obviously out of the question.
Her eyes darted around, and then she caught sight of Mason standing nearby. Like grasping at her last lifeline, she put on her most pitiful look and cried toward him. “Mr. Brown, please help us. We didn’t mean it…”
Mason’s eyes were indifferent. He glanced coolly at her tear-stained face, his eyes filled with coldness and undisguised sarcasm.
He chuckled. “Help you? Help you like at the Golden Throne Club, throwing you trash into the trash heap?”
There was not even a trace of pity in his words.
If it weren’t for hearing Sienna’s name just now, he wouldn’t have even bothered to glance at this piece of garbage.
With one hand in his pocket, Mason didn’t even spare her another look as he moved to walk inside.
Then, suddenly, his gaze caught on something. His eyes lit up, a ripple of brightness flashing through them.
His thin lips curved up little by little, the coldness around him dissipated in an instant, replaced by a lazy and
nonchalant smile.
Like snow melting in spring, he became dazzling.
The change was so striking, so dramatic, that Jessica froze in place for a moment.
Then, she saw Mason suddenly quicken his pace and walk in one direction.
A girl in a white T-shirt and long pants was standing in front of a carved railing, one hand in her pocket. In this magnificent scene, her outfit was too simple and plain, but it still couldn’t hide her aloof and refined temperament.
It was Sienna.
Jessica widened her eyes, watching Mason stride towards Sienna, a radiant smile spreading across his narrow brows and eyes.
Her pupils constricted.
Mason’s indifference toward her and his attitude before and after seeing Sienna…
It was like a physical slap across her face.
The rest of the Fairbank family was even more shaken than Jessica.
Last time, after Lauren was kicked out of the Golden Throne Club with Jessica, they only dared to say it was because of Sienna, that they were harmed by Sienna, but they didn’t dare mention Mason at all.
Firstly, they felt that Sienna could not possibly have the qualifications to be associated with Mason.
Secondly, they refused to admit that Sienna’s life had become better after leaving the Fairbank family. And that she could know Mason, a prominent figure they could not hope to reach.
Hazel’s face was the most unsightly. Her entire face was almost livid.
She grabbed Melvin’s hand. “Honey, is that Sienna? She… How could she, how could she be with the Brown family’s crown prince…”
They couldn’t believe it.
It wasn’t just Sienna who knew Mason. But Mason’s attitude toward Sienna was so close, so warm!
The Fairbank family had many questions. Sienna had actually gotten together with Mason? She actually could do that? When had she done it? Before she left the Fairbank family or after? If she had been able to get Mason on her side, why hadn’t she told them?
If they had known earlier that Sienna had this ability, they wouldn’t have driven her away.
To think that they lost the Cooper family contract, but could have climbed up the Brown family. They wouldn’t need to be here, begging the Cooper family in such a humiliating way. That wretched girl had kept it from them!
“Sienna, Sienna!” Melvin quickly put on a kind and amiable smile, waving at Sienna. “It’s a misunderstanding! Since Sienna knows Harrison from Moon Restaurant, this matter is easy to handle!”
As he spoke, he walked towards Sienna.
However, just as he reached the entrance of Moon Restaurant, two security guards stopped him.

Reuben rushed over and said with an icy expression, ‘Sorry, Mr. Fairbank. Your family has been blacklisted by
Moon Restaurant.”
“Sienna… What blacklist? Since you know Mr. Harrison Greer, please say a word to him. It’s really all a misunderstanding.” Melvin grinned at Sienna.
Reuben looked at Sienna with respectful eyes,
Harrison also looked at Sienna, his features softening slightly as he asked with a smile, “Miss Cooper, those people over there…”
“I don’t know them.” Sienna raised her eyebrows slightly, her eyes indifferent. “Reuben, they’ve committed public slander, property damage, and disruption of order. Handle it however it should be handled.”
