“All this just over something so petty?” Declan scowled, his voice heavy with annoyance. “I didn’t have her with me for my birthday, didn’t let her pick me up, and now she’s pissed? She’s really got that diva attitude.”
‘Apologize?‘ Declan thought to himself, almost laughing at the idea.
“To Sophie?‘ He rolled his eyes internally.
‘Like I’d ever lower myself to apologize to her.‘ Declan was stubborn as ever.
“But… Declan, if she keeps ignoring you like this…” One of the guys hesitated, worried. ‘If this goes on, all the perks we’ve been enjoying because of her would disappear in a flash,‘ he thought anxiously.
After getting out of the backwoods and tasting luxury, there was no way Sophie would ever want to go back to that kind of rural hardship.
No way that was happening.
Declan was just about to say something when he noticed a bunch of his crew heading over.
A few of them kept shooting him looks, gossiping and pointing in his direction.
His face darkened.
He couldn’t shake the feeling they were snickering at him, like he was getting owned by Sophie and couldn’t even keep her in check.
Declan’s pride took a hit, and he couldn’t just stand there being laughed at. He whipped around and strode right up to Sophie, voice raised. “You call this an apology? Is this seriously your attitude toward me?”
Sophie had just learned a few tricks from Sienna and was gunning to test them out on the track.
But just as she was about to take off, Declan suddenly doubled back and blocked her path.
Sophie wrinkled her brow, obviously annoyed. “Why are you back again?”
She made it sound like he was totally ruining her big plans–that his return was the last thing she wanted right
now.
Declan’s eyes went cold. He grabbed Sophie’s arm. “Sophie, enough with the playing hard to get! Do you even realize how you’re acting right now? Seriously, you’re turning into the exact kind of entitled rich princess I can’t stand–always acting like the world owes you something!”
Just as his hand was about to reach Sophie, a pale hand suddenly darted out in front of him.
Declan’s arm was caught in a vice–like grip.

Chapter 91
A sickening pop echoed through the air, instantly drowned out by Declan’s anguished scream

A tall, lean figure stepped up with effortless cool, blocking Sophie from Declan with a quiet, protective force.
Under the might sky. Sienna’s beauty was almost unreal–her face deadpan, eyes untouched by emotion. unflinching as she stared him down.
Just try and touch her. See what happens,” Sienna said, her voice chilling and lethal.
Her voice was clear, cold, and totally unfazed.
Declan’s face contorted in agony, sweat pouring down his forehead.
He was burning with rage, but facing Sienna’s glacial eyes–that raw, overpowering pressure made his back go cold, like he was staring down a predator.
But that surge of anger washed away any shred of reason Declan had left. “Sienna, you seriously think you can block me? Ernest’s here tonight. He’s coming over right now. If he sees you messing with me like this, you know he won’t let it slide!”
Before he could finish, Jessica piped up with her signature dramatic flair. “W–wait, Sienna! What are you doing here?”
“Oh, come on, let go of Declan already! He’s Ernest’s friend. Don’t make things awkward!”
Ernest and his crew surged toward them like a tidal wave, cutting through the crowd with unmistakable
purpose.
Ernest and Jessica took the lead.
Ernest’s face was dark and grim; but the moment he spotted Sienna, the tension softened just a touch.
He’d been frustrated for ages, waiting for an excuse to finally confront Sienna about what was really going on between her and Alvin.
So he simply let Jessica pull him along, not resisting–since he’d been looking for a reason to head this way
anyway.
Sienna didn’t even glance in their direction. Her crimson lips curled ever so slightly, adding an extra edge of entrancing beauty to her ice–cold and striking face.
That smile was so dazzling that it was almost mesmerizing.
And as that flash of her smile swept across, Declan’s screams of pain grew even louder.
With that stunning smile still on her face, Sienna twisted Declan’s wrist back in a punishing hold, then delivered a swift kick straight to his knee–all in a single, fluid motion.
Declan was completely helpless; his body hit the ground hard, dropping to all fours in utter humiliation and disgrace.

“There’s only so much pride to lose, Declan. Can’t you at least save a little for yourself?” Sienna towered over him, looking down like he was nothing but dirt under her shoe. “Living off Sophie and still acting all bossy?
You’re so shameless!
“Everything you have was handed to you by Sophic, like charity to a stray. But a mutt who doesn’t know how to be grateful… what’s the point in keeping you around?”
The word “shameless” struck Declan right where it hurt–the one thing he’d never admit to anyone.
And being called a “mutt” cut especially deep, stabbing at the last shreds of his pride.
His face twisted in rage, teeth grinding as he cursed under his breath.
“Sienna!” Declan spat, his voice trembling with rage and humiliation.
Ernest hadn’t expected Sienna to step up and rough up one of his guys–boldly, mind you–even with him watching and knowing full well he was on his way over.
That was straight–up public humiliation–a blatant show of disrespect in front of everyone.
Sienna had always been his shadow, responding to his every command. Now, she was acting like he was nothing. That cut deep. Ernest couldn’t help but feel slighted.
And just at that moment, Jessica couldn’t hold back, piling on the drama. “Sienna, you’re seriously out of line! So what if Mr. Fuller is backing you up now? You still can’t go around laying hands on Ernest’s friends! You’re humiliating Ernest right in front of his own crew–how’s he supposed to keep his dignity after this?”
The moment Alvin Fuller’s name came up,
Ernest’s expression sank, a frosty chill glazing over his eyes.
Now he needed answers more than ever. ‘Just what was up between Sienna and Alvin anyway? And seriously, when did they get so cozy?‘ he thought.
Just thinking about the way Sienna was all smiles for Alvin set Ernest’s nerves on edge; a surge of jealousy and irritation bubbled up inside him, making his gaze turn icy. “Sienna, let him go. This isn’t the place for you to act up. Are you really trying to embarrass yourself—and me—in front of everyone?”
“What stray mutt won’t stop barking?” Sienna shot him a cold, lazy sidelong glance, her voice dripping with contempt. “Whoever picks a fight first is just trash. Got it?”
Ernest’s chiseled face tensed up instantly, his eyes widening with shock and fury.
‘Did she seriously just call me a stray mutt?‘ Ernest couldn’t believe it; the insult hit like a punch to the gut.
Cora couldn’t believe it–Sienna didn’t even bother to give Ernest any face.
She jumped in anxiously, trying to explain herself. “We honestly didn’t mean anything bad! Sophie isn’t in great health, and she doesn’t know a thing about motorcycles. We were only looking out for her–just trying to protect her by keeping that world–class racing motorcycle safe, so she wouldn’t get hurt. How is that wrong?”

Chapter 91
Sophie rested her hands on the handlebars and frowned. “Who said I don’t know how to ride?”
“Didn’t you literally just wipe out on a motocycle?” Cora blurted, her voice rising with worry.”
Declan, pinned under Sienna’s foot, suddenly jerked and managed to choke out, “Car crash? What car crash?*
Cora suddenly realized she’d spilled too much and quickly tried to change the subject. “Hey, Sophie, since you say you know how to ride, this works out perfectly! Ernest and I were planning a private race. Why don’t you join in and bring Ghost to the track? Give everyone a real show!”
“That’s right, Sophie! Since you’re already riding Ghost, why not jump in and race with us?” someone called out, teasing her.
The group behind them started jeering and hyping up the crowd. “If you’re so confident in your riding, Sophie, how about we settle it with a race? Loser gets down on their knees right here and calls the winner ‘Daddy‘ for everyone to see!”
“Just ‘Daddy‘? That’s child’s play! Wasn’t Cora drooling over Ghost this whole time? Why not spice things up? Winner takes Ghost as the prize!” someone chimed in, eyes gleaming with mischief.
As soon as racing for stakes was brought up,
everyone got fired up, the energy in the crowd hitting a fever pitch.
“I…” Sophie almost blurted out her acceptance. She just couldn’t help wanting to prove herself.
But the moment she started to speak, she caught herself, remembering her promise to Sienna. Sophie shut her mouth and glanced over at Sienna, waiting for a sign.
“What’s wrong, scared to race?” Cora caught the hesitation in Sophie’s eyes and let out a relieved sigh, sounding all gentle, but you could hear the condescension underneath. “Sophie, don’t keep trying to act tough just to get a rise out of me and Declan. Come on, you know he can’t stand people who fake it.”
