Chapter 99 Irritation

Landon’s POV:

Louisa didn’t pry further about Nathan’s whereabouts, yet her eyes, seasoned by time and shrewd as ever, kept a watchful, scrutinizing gaze. Dinner wrapped up in an atmosphere that seemed calm on the surface but crackled with underlying tension.

In the evening, my mom, Grace, and Anna hightailed it back to the villa. Louisa’s return was like a heavy yoke around their necks. My dad was pretty easy-going, but Louisa was a stickler for rules. They’d only been able to relax during the year she was gone.

Sure enough, shortly after dinner, Louisa brought up my situation with Natalie again, her tone leaving no room for excuses.

Anna, not one to hold her tongue, started whining, full of pent-up grievances. “Who’s bullying Natalie? It’s she who’s been acting all high-and-mighty, thanks to Landon. She won’t even lift a finger to help me with a little thing. And then she throws a fit, threatens the pack, and forces me and Mom to say sorry…”

“Anna!” I cut her off sharply, not wanting things to spiral out of control.

Louisa’s face dropped, and the weight of her authority as the pack’s matriarch filled the room. “What’d you say?” Her voice was quiet, but it made Anna flinch.

“Grandma, Anna really overstepped this time.” I jumped in, trying to stick up for Natalie and play it off as a minor spat.

That really set Anna off. “Landon! Have you lost your Alpha backbone? We’ve all heard how Natalie’s been bossing you around. She even has the nerve to ask for half of the pack! Haven’t Mom and I put up with enough for her?”

She turned to Grace, on the verge of tears. “Mom, even if we made a mistake, does she have to treat us like dirt? She’s just a half-breed Beta who can’t give us pure-blooded pups. Isn’t it normal for you to be strict with her?”

Grace knew Louisa’s temper and had gotten the memo from me that Louisa was here to support Natalie. She bit back her anger, but the annoyance in her eyes was still obvious.

Hearing the words “can’t have pure-blooded heirs” and “half-breed Beta”, Louisa went quiet for a bit. Her old but sharp eyes swept over the three of us. She clearly wasn’t buying Grace and Anna’s story completely, but Natalie’s new attitude was a far cry from her old self. Judging from Natalie, she wouldn’t have gone against Louisa unless she’d been pushed too far.

“Alright, I’m beat. You guys head off.” Louisa waved us away, too tired to listen anymore, and made her way to the guest room.

But I knew this wasn’t the end. Given Grandma’s personality and her soft spot for Natalie, she’d dig deeper. And just as I thought, right after seeing Grace and Anna out, my phone started ringing. It was Aaliyah. She’d been blowing up my phone all day. I was annoyed, but I had to go get Nathan before Louisa got suspicious.

On the way, Grace texted me, warning me not to get entangled with Aaliyah, especially with Louisa at home. I couldn’t let her find out about our connection.

I planned to grab Nathan and leave. But as soon as I opened Aaliyah’s apartment door, a curvy body, smelling of strong Omega pheromones and wearing just a see-through dress, clung to me like a vine.

“Landon…” Her warm, moist breath tickled my neck as she purred suggestively.

“Come on, I need to take Nathan back,” I mumbled.

“He’s still asleep. Just for a little while. It’s been ages since you last spent time with me,” she whispered.

I was about to push her away when her kisses rained down on my face, starting from my cheek and moving down. Taking advantage of my distracted state, Aaliyah deftly undid the top buttons of my shirt, and her tongue gently grazed my Adam’s apple-one of the most sensitive spots for an Alpha.

Today, Aaliyah donned a sheer red tulle dress that seemed to unveil all the alluring details beneath. Every bit of her lingerie and hosiery was just what I’d always fancied.

Recently, I had been under great pressure from the members of the pack. I was all worked up both physically and mentally. Finally, with a frown on my brow, I ended up in an intense moment with her that led us from the doorway of the room to the bed.

Aaliyah came across as refined and elegant on the surface. However, beneath her clothes, there lay a kind of primal and alluring charm that once had me completely entranced. Even when I tried to suppress my feelings with reason, my body’s natural response was easily sparked by

her.

In contrast, Natalie was incredibly beautiful, and every look and smile of hers could arouse the deepest desires of an Alpha. But inside, she was as pure and innocent. Whenever I felt a certain impulse towards her in the past, the sight of her clear and earnest eyes would always fill me with a sense of tenderness, making me reluctant to despoil her.

Now, as I clasped Aaliyah’s delicate neck and sensed the submission and tremors of the one
