Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 155

She couldn't just blurt out that she was the one who'd bitten him—Emilia would probably step forward and turn the tables on her in an instant.

She needed a plan.

Suddenly, an idea struck. Vivienne scrolled through her contacts, found a number, and dialed.

Outside Vivian Floral Atelier, a throng of people milled about, jostling for the best spot. They'd been waiting quite a while for Vivienne to appear, and impatience was starting to ripple through the crowd.

Just then, the shop door swung open.

Vivienne emerged, supported by an attendant. Her face was pale, her whole demeanor frail.

"I'm sorry, I'm not feeling well today," she said softly, her voice weak.

The crowd sympathized. After all, everyone knew she only had about six months left to live.

"Miss Vivienne, is it true you bit Mr. Erickson's lip?"

"Miss Vivienne, does this mean you and Mr. Erickson have taken things to the next level?"

"Miss Vivienne—"

The questions came in a barrage as people pressed forward, but thankfully, security kept them at bay so Vivienne wasn't hurt.

Under the barrage of questions, Vivienne looked shy, her pale cheeks tinged with the faintest blush.

That blush was all the confirmation anyone needed.

She cleared her throat twice, as if to compose herself. "Everyone," she began, "I'd really appreciate it if you didn't pay so much attention to these rumors." Rather than answer directly, she steered the conversation elsewhere.

"I do have some good news to share. Vivian Floral Atelier will be collaborating with a film studio to produce a micro-series inspired by *Faint Whispers*, featuring its theme song. Please look forward to it."

She gave a small, dignified bow.

Seeing that the crowd still seemed unsatisfied, Vivienne smiled and added, "I think what really matters is the work I'm doing for those who are ill."

"I see," Joyce said, clenching her fist.

Seven now saw Vivienne in a new light.

But Emilia's attention was fixed on something else.

Vivienne planned to develop *Faint Whispers* even further.

Vivienne really was fearless—Donovan Entertainment had already sent her a cease-and-desist, and she hadn't even responded. Now she was making things even bigger.

Did she think with Tyler backing her, she was untouchable?

Well, it didn't matter. The higher Vivienne climbed now, the harder she'd fall when it all came crashing down.

The three were still eating when, suddenly, the doorbell rang.

Christian had arrived.
