Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 325

Someone like him—always going on about his love for calligraphy and classic painting, wearing that gentle, cultured mask—had probably fooled more people than anyone realized.

A man like Theodore would never settle for anything less than a woman from an old, distinguished family.

So who could it possibly be?

As the car sped down the road, Tyler stared out the window at the passing scenery, quietly lost in thought.

Inside a suite at the Grand Regency Hotel.

Someone scrolled through messages, lifting a glass of whiskey for a slow sip.

Nearby, a hotel staff member waited respectfully. “Mr. Kaufman, everything you requested has been arranged. Is there anything else we can do for you?”

The man set his glass down and waved them off, signaling he was fine and they could leave.

He walked over to the massive window, gazing down at the river of headlights below.

“Divorce,” he murmured with a wry smile, almost to himself. “Emilia, do you regret the things you said to me all those years ago?”

“A man who made you risk everything, someone you’d have died for… and in the end, he still let you down.”

His reflection in the glass revealed striking Cerulion features, the unmistakable blend of his heritage. He spoke quietly, “Maybe it’s for the best.”

He raised his glass in a silent toast, though it wasn’t clear to whom.

“Now that you’ve left him, you’ll have a far brighter future.”

Elsewhere, the elderly Mr. and Mrs. Erickson were on their way back to Lunar Manor.

Dailey was driving, while the two elders sat comfortably in the back.

“Do you really think this will work?” Mrs. Erickson asked, glancing at Parker. “Will Emily actually win?”

Parker snorted. “Do you honestly believe she’d lose to someone like Vivienne?”

“Mr. Erickson, it’s chaos inside. The phones haven’t stopped ringing—employees, partners, everyone’s trying to get through!”

Jensen had already messaged him, which was why Tyler rushed back so quickly.

Chloe Erickson hurried down the stairs as well.

“Tyler, we’re barely holding things together,” Chloe said. “The shareholders are furious they weren’t warned about the divorce. They’re asking if this’ll turn into some record-breaking corporate settlement. And all those partners Emilia used to handle—they’re demanding answers.”

Her frustration boiled over. “Why didn’t she at least give us a heads-up before going public? Now the whole company’s in an uproar!”

Tyler shot Chloe a cold look, and she instantly fell silent.

He knew the truth. It had been several days since he and Emilia signed the papers—she’d given him plenty of time to react. Announcing the divorce today wasn’t her fault.

Chloe tried again, her voice lower. “Tyler, you know most of our partners trusted us because of Emilia. Now that she’s publicly cut ties with The Erickson Group… I’m worried they’ll start reconsidering.”

“And the stock price,” Secretary Jensen added, “that’s going to take a hit too.”
