Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 362

Tyler felt like he was losing his mind.

He couldn’t wrap his head around how things had spiraled out of control like this.

Just a few days ago, Owen had sent him some juicy gossip: apparently, Theodore was going all out to win over some mysterious woman.

Owen had mentioned that the woman had a kid—a little girl, to be precise.

Tyler remembered spotting Theodore at the Hello Kitty store not long ago.

Theodore had told him that the woman he liked was raising a little girl who adored Cinnamoroll.

Then there were all the other things Theodore had said...

Thinking back on it now, it all seemed to circle back to her.

Why?

Why did it have to be her?

When had she and Theodore even started seeing each other?

Was it back during the Voice of the Divine competition?

He remembered the Glenn family muttering things around him, and the look Theodore had given him back then.

All of it was driving him insane.

“Emily, are you doing this on purpose to spite me?” He gripped her shoulders so tightly that the cut on his hand split open again, blood staining her shirt. “Is it because of me and Vivienne—”

He didn’t get to finish. Suddenly, he was yanked backward by a powerful force.

“You!” Tyler spun around in a rage, only to find Theodore standing protectively in front of Emilia.

“Theodore!”

That one look was enough to send Tyler’s anger flaring out of control.

But Theodore ignored him, turning his attention to Emilia. “I noticed you’d gone quiet, so I came upstairs to check on you.”

When she hadn’t responded to his messages, he’d circled the block, spotted Tyler’s Mercedes lurking in the shadows, and immediately headed up.

But he knew she wasn’t coming back out.

And Theodore was still there, watching him.

Taking a deep breath, Tyler forced himself to swallow his anger and followed Theodore to the stairwell.

The green glow of the exit sign cast a ghostly light over them as they faced off in the narrow space.

Tyler stared at the man before him. He’d always seen Theodore as just a business rival—this was the first time he realized just how much he hated him.

“What were you two doing today?” Tyler demanded, voice taut.

Theodore gave a light, almost mocking laugh. “We were on a date.”

That single word sent a rush of blood pounding through Tyler’s veins, anger flooding every inch of him.

“A date?” he echoed through gritted teeth.

“That’s right.” Theodore’s tone was infuriatingly breezy. “Kind of hard to miss, isn’t it? The whole internet’s talking about it.”
