Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 363

Tyler let out a sharp, incredulous laugh. “Theodore, don’t think I can’t see right through your little scheme.”

“The Glenn family has always played second fiddle to the Ericksons. Are you really trying to take down the Erickson Group with such underhanded tricks?”

Theodore just smiled, saying nothing.

“Stay away from Emilia. Got it?” Tyler took a step forward, making his warning crystal clear.

But Theodore only lowered his gaze, the smile never leaving his face.

He didn’t look at Tyler, remaining infuriatingly calm.

“You and Vivienne have had more dinners together than I can count. I share one meal with Emilia and you lose your mind?” Theodore replied smoothly.

“You—!” Tyler sputtered, anger rising.

But Theodore didn’t back down. He stepped forward as well, meeting Tyler’s eyes head-on.

“I do want the Glenn family to thrive, that’s true. But my feelings for Emilia are real, too,” Theodore said evenly. “If I wanted to destroy the Erickson Group, I have other ways. I’m not as petty as you think.”

Tyler laughed, a scornful sound echoing in the dim hallway.

“You?” he mocked. “You like Emilia? Is that supposed to be a joke?”

“It’s not a joke.” Theodore’s smile turned cold, his tone deadly serious. “I told you before—I’ve liked her for a long, long time. She’s on my mind day and night. I can’t shake her.”

“You’re not the only one in this world who deserves her, Tyler.”

He stared Tyler down, his voice deliberate and unwavering.

“I see what’s special about her. I like her spirit, respect her for the way she handles things, and I admire her talent. I love everything about her—the good and the bad.”

“Compared to your shallow, careless attitude, I’d say I understand and respect her far more than you ever have.”

Tyler’s chest heaved, his eyes fierce and bloodshot as he glared at Theodore. Hatred simmered in his gaze.

“We lived together for seven years. Day in, day out. What makes you think you know her better than I do?” Tyler spat. “She’s mine. I’ve seen every side of her—more sides than you ever will.”

He kept going, desperately piling on words as if sheer force could drive Theodore away.

“When she sobbed in my arms, Theodore, you were still halfway around the world, drifting at sea!”

Theodore’s smile vanished.

The hallway was dim, the green glow of the emergency lights casting a sharpened edge to Theodore’s features. He looked dangerous as he took two steps forward, grabbed Tyler by the collar, and slammed him hard against the wall.

“What’s the matter? Hit a nerve?” Tyler laughed manically, his eyes wild and red. “She’s mine. She’ll always be mine!”

Theodore stared at him, and suddenly, that cold smile returned—deeper this time, but his eyes were like ice.
