Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 424

On the left side of the screen was Emilia, while Vivienne filled the right.

Emilia was already leading the way, guiding this handpicked group of participants as they stepped across that golden river. These were people chosen by The Glenn Group—some were journalists, others potential buyers, and a few were simply there to visit. Altogether, there were about twenty of them.

As soon as they entered the sea of flowers, Emilia turned to address the group. “This is our starting point,” she said, her tone crisp and inviting. “You can leave anything you don’t need on the racks over there.” She gestured toward a row of baskets nestled among sunflowers—bright, welcoming, and just waiting to be filled.

There were plenty of baskets, one for each guest.

People set down their unnecessary belongings before following Emilia deeper into the world of flowers.

Emilia led them forward, the group stepping into a realm that seemed almost magical. At first, they were outdoors, sunlight pouring over the sunflower field, making everything pulse with vibrant life. The golden “river” beneath their feet shimmered and moved, sending delicate ripples outward wherever they stepped, as if the path itself was alive.

Now and then, a glint of gold would catch someone’s eye from within the sunflowers, drawing their gaze.

Soon enough, someone with a sharp eye noticed something unusual. “What’s that?” they asked, curiosity piqued.

Emilia looked to her assistant, who immediately moved to stand beside the inquisitive guest. “Ma’am, let me show you.”

As they approached, the flowers seemed to part on their own, revealing a golden picture frame. Inside the frame was an image, with a date inscribed beneath it.

“It’s… a street scene from 1935.”

“Not just the streets!” someone else exclaimed.

Beyond the street, there were more scenes—vivid, old photographs capturing the spirit of the era.

“Look at this! Wow, they were already having white-dress weddings in 1935!”

The camera drifted past, lingering on the sunlight, the golden sea of sunflowers, those old photographs—a dizzying glimpse into another world, decades gone by.

The irony was unmistakable.

“Today’s flower arrangement is from our Artist Series,” Vivienne said weakly, her smile tight as she spoke to the camera. She sorted through the blooms and selected a Teddy sunflower.

She trimmed and arranged the flowers with practiced hands, creating a simple yet beautiful bouquet within minutes.

“Van Gogh’s sunflowers,” she announced quietly to her viewers.

Cradling the vase, she nodded to her assistant, who moved the camera to follow her. Though the lens was trained on Vivienne and her bouquet, it couldn’t help but capture the lavish décor of the villa around them.

They had been arranging the flowers in the semi-open kitchen, and now, with the camera trailing after, Vivienne walked through the kitchen, past the dining room, and slowly made her way to the living room.

Then, with a subtle turn, she stopped beside the enormous wedding photo of Emilia and Tyler.
