Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 425

She stood beneath the picture frame, setting the bouquet of sunflowers carefully at its base.

“I think this looks perfect here. What do you all think?” She glanced up at her livestream audience, a faint, challenging smile curving her lips.

Though she looked delicate and frail, the taunt in her voice was unmistakable.

The internet exploded.

“Vivienne’s got some nerve! She’s just ignoring Emilia completely!”

“Where’s Emilia? Does she know about this? Someone at the scene—hurry up and patch Emilia in!”

“Vivienne, Emilia’s streaming too—dare to go live with her? Do it if you’re not afraid!”

In Vivienne’s livestream, her assistant sifted through the avalanche of comments, reading a few out loud.

Several viewers demanded that Vivienne connect with Emilia live.

Vivienne turned to the camera with her usual ghostly pallor and a thin smile. “Well, since I dared to come today, of course I can go live with her. I just worry it might be awkward for Emilia. But, if everyone wants it…”

Following her assistant’s instructions, she found Emilia’s channel and sent a request to connect.

Even as she did, she hesitated. “Is this really okay?” she murmured, as if seeking reassurance.

Meanwhile, Emilia was still introducing the event to her own audience.

“There’s a printer over here,” she explained, gesturing to the side. “Anyone can have their favorite photo printed, and The Glenn Group will collect them. Five years from now, they’ll mail your photo back to you—a little time capsule.”

She pointed out the various picture frames arranged among the flowers, and a “time mailbox” set up to collect the photos.

Just then, the request from Vivienne popped up.

Her chat was in an uproar—

“Pick up, Emilia! Are you scared? Vivienne dared you—don’t chicken out!”

“Pick up, pick up, I want the drama!”

People in the street had even climbed up nearby buildings, shouting down the stairwells at Emilia.

“Before I came in, I heard, Ms. Vivienne, how much you adore this photo of Tyler and me,” Emilia said, her smile unshakable. “So I had a special print made—just for today.”

“Wow!” Excited shrieks echoed from the upper floors on both sides of the street.

The crowd’s energy was electric; everyone was thoroughly enjoying the spectacle.

Sunlight streamed across Emilia’s face as she turned back to the camera.

“It seems everyone’s so invested in my story with my ex-husband, and you all want me to talk about it. Well, I suppose I owe you that much.”

With that, Emilia gathered up the enormous frame and strode straight into the sea of sunflowers.

She plucked a sunflower pot, then wedged the frame into the soil at a jaunty angle.

Golden sunlight bathed Emilia’s smiling face as she and the wedding portrait were surrounded by sunflowers.

“Do you like it?” she asked the camera, tossing Vivienne’s earlier question right back at her.
