Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 459

“Come on, Ginger, show me around,” Emilia said to the ginger cat at her feet.

“Mrrrow!” The ginger cat chirped, accepting a freeze-dried treat from her hand before trotting ahead, tail held high, as if it understood every word.

As Emilia wandered through the building, following Ginger’s lead, the staff of the Glenn Group either didn’t recognize her or greeted her with warm smiles. Sometimes, they stopped to give Ginger a quick scratch or a friendly word.

She let Ginger guide her wherever it pleased. The Glenn Group, she quickly noticed, was a world apart from the Erickson Corporation. Where Erickson’s workspace was all cold glass and corporate efficiency, the Glenn offices radiated personality. Every floor seemed to have its own theme—some practical and businesslike, others delightfully imaginative.

It was obvious each floor’s manager had free rein to shape their own space.

George Glenn and Ella both had their offices here, as well as their own dedicated floors. George was rarely in the building, always out on business. Ella, though, happened to be in today and greeted Emilia with a friendly wave as she passed.

“Mrrrow!”

When Ginger led her to yet another floor, the cat paused at the entrance, head held high in a show of pride.

Stepping inside, Emilia realized the entire floor seemed dedicated to Ginger. Cat-themed displays, photos, and even plush toys were everywhere.

“Ginger!” someone called the moment the ginger cat strolled in, scooping it up in a warm hug.

“Mrrrow!” Ginger meowed happily.

The employee spotted Emilia and smiled. “Miss Dennis.”

Emilia nodded, curiosity piqued. “What is this place?”

The woman grinned, hugging Ginger close. “Well, Ginger here has its very own jewelry line.” She gestured for Emilia to follow. “Let me show you, Miss Dennis.”

As they walked, the woman pointed out the designs. “These are the Ginger Eyes—emerald stones, see?”

Emilia looked. They actually did resemble Ginger’s bright green eyes.

“And here—cat tails. These are tiny paws. And—”

He had Ginger tucked under his arm, scratching the cat’s chin as he smiled. “Playtime’s over. Christian and the others are waiting for us for dinner.”

“But Ginger can come and play with Bella,” he added.

He plucked a Cat Bell charm from the display and clipped it onto Emilia’s bag.

She beamed at the little trinket.

“Let’s go,” Theodore said. “I’ve made the reservation.”

Emilia glanced at the sky through the windows—dusk was falling. Dinner time.

Meanwhile, at the restaurant, Christian and Felix McCarthy were already waiting. Joyce sat beside them, glancing from Christian to Felix before letting out a long sigh.

Now that Emily had agreed to marry Theodore, what were these two going to do?
