Fated to the Alpha–And His Triplet Brothers novel Chapter 192

Chapter 192: First Alpha.

Hazel’s POV

I don’t think I’ve ever felt pain like this before. My wolf was howling inside me, clawing at my insides as if it wanted to rip free. Lilith had just finished packing the two bodies, and the weight of what we were about to do pressed down on my chest. We were going home with them dead.

How could I face their parents? What would we even tell them? Lying was pointless—the entire pack had probably already felt it the moment Cayden’s body fell.

"Is this the end?" Aurora whispered, her whole body trembling as though the words themselves froze her. "The triplets are gone. Our Alpha, our Beta, and the one who knew Dahlia well enough to stop her—they’re gone... forever."

Her sister knelt beside her, eyes burning with tears but voice steady. "This is not the end. We will find a way to bring them back."

Lilith’s hands stilled where she had been wrapping the bodies. Slowly, she rose to her feet, a flicker of something wild sparking in her eyes.

"There is a way," she breathed, turning to me. "I killed Cayden when he was a child and brought him back. He was a baby then... but this time he’s an adult. Not just him, but his brothers too."

Hope trembled in her voice, faint but real. Aurora, however, surged to her feet, fury breaking through her grief.

"No!" she thundered. "There’s no hope. You only managed to bring him back because he was a baby. Even if you brought Caspian and Cyrius back, Cayden is gone. Forever. You can’t cheat death twice!"

Her voice cracked like lightning through the cavern, and we all flinched at its power. Lilith buried her face in her hands, her shoulders shaking. Aurora was right. Cayden was the Alpha, the strongest of them all. Without him... everything felt impossible.

A sob tore out of me as I stood. "Caspian used to say something," I whispered, my throat raw. "It’s either we win, or we win."

And suddenly, I felt it—a spark igniting deep within me. I could almost see them standing right in front of me, the three of them. Cayden. Caspian. Cyrius. All smiling. All giving me hope.

I straightened, my wolf rising with me. "So what if they’re gone?" My voice deepened, the air around me humming with energy. "I know my mate can’t die. Cayden, Caspian, and Cyrius will come back to me. But until then, we will take down Dahlia and her cursed Crescents."

Aurora’s sister—Alice, stepped forward and placed her hands on my shoulders. Her eyes locked onto mine, unblinking, and I swallowed hard.

"Your Crescents..." she murmured. "You’re a natural-born Crescent, Hazel. Born to rule us."

"You will rule us and take charge. You are our first female alpha," Alice declared, her voice echoing like a battle cry. "Those Crescents are under the wrong person’s control... the real leader is you."

"B-but a female can’t become an alpha," I stammered.

Alice threw her head back as though I’d said the most disgusting thing in the world. "LIES!" she roared.

"A female can rule and take charge—is Dahlia not a female? Look at her, commanding the entire Crescent army just because she created us. But you... You will break that legacy. You will show the Crescents who their true leader is."

She gripped my shoulders and gave them a jolt. "Are you with me, Alpha?"

My eyes widened slowly. "Alpha...?" I whispered, disbelief trembling in my voice.

Alice nodded. Then she dropped to her knees.

My mother followed, going down beside her, head bowed.

Tears rushed to my eyes—Aurora’s too. She ran forward, throwing her arms around me, sobbing into my chest.

"Please," she cried. "Please bring them back. Bring my brothers back to me, Hazel. Please."
