Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1713

Fiona eased her expression, swung the door open, and stepped outside with a relaxed demeanor.

“What brings you here?” she asked, setting a glass of water in front of him before sinking comfortably back into the couch.

“Just wanted to check in on you,” Jackson replied, gently tousling her hair with a soft laugh. “I never realized you were such a design prodigy, Fiona.”

She had expected his curiosity and had no intention of keeping secrets. With a calm smile, she shifted to rest her head on Jackson’s shoulder.

“You’ve known all along, haven’t you?”

From the moment the design competition kicked off, Jackson had tried to recruit her for Woods Corporation. But when nothing came of it, she knew he was just testing the waters. Besides, she had handed over countless new design drafts to Kimberly; Jackson must’ve been aware of that.

Jackson chuckled softly, then wrapped her in his arms and kissed her.

Fiona, however, flipped the script, playfully pinning him to the couch. She traced her fingers slowly over his brow and eyes, ending with a light, fleeting kiss on his lips.

“It’s getting late, big brother. Goodnight,” she teased, hopping off the couch and heading to her room, tossing a cheeky smile back at Jackson.

“That girl!” Jackson said with an amused grin.

The next morning, Fiona was jolted awake by a barrage of calls from Jasmine. Her phone displayed a photo that seemed vaguely familiar.

“Who is this?” she wondered, frowning.

Jasmine: Zoe, I bet you barely recognized her, huh?

Jasmine: She had some work done. Now she’s Lizzy, the eldest daughter of the Larkin family in the States.

She’d always been a lone wolf, but now, this beautiful moment was something she found herself craving.

...

When the new term started, everyone avoided discussing Yvenne, fearing any potential fallout.

In contrast, Fiona’s reputation was sky-high. She’d become a role model, with everyone wishing they could hang her picture above their beds for good luck in getting into their dream schools.

The school had high hopes for Fiona, especially Keaton, who wanted her to shine like Flora had, making a stunning impression and outclassing everyone.

And Fiona delivered, smashing Flora’s old records, putting the Capital on the map, and elevating Westbrook High School’s status.

Turning out two top achievers in a row was an unmatched honor.
