Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1757

"This one's nice, I'll take it." Fiona caught a rare glimpse of herself in the mirror, seeing a side she didn't usually show. She smiled, pleased with the reflection. Even though she'd bought it, she had no plans to wear it. She was a pants kind of girl; they were just more practical. Besides, that dress didn't really vibe with her personality or style. But Jasmine had been so convinced it looked good on her, she didn’t have the heart to disagree.

"Fiona, I'm glad you finally see it my way. Your old clothes were too edgy and cool—not really you. This dress is a better fit. You look so much more like a lady. If Jackson doesn’t notice you like this, I'll personally have a word with him!"

"Alright, you said it, don’t chicken out."

Jasmine fell silent, realizing she'd spoken without thinking it through. Before leaving, Fiona picked up a few pantsuits. When you're out and about, pants are just more practical than skirts.

"Fiona, I've got to run. See you at school," Amy waved, then disappeared into the crowd.

Fiona didn’t think much of it. After leaving with Jasmine, Jasmine filled her in on what had happened earlier. Fiona didn’t say much, just bought two lemonades. She'd known for a while that Amy’s intentions weren’t entirely genuine. But since Amy hadn’t been harmful or crossed any lines, Fiona chose to let it slide.

If Amy ever became a threat or tried anything shady, Fiona wouldn’t have let it go on this long.

Fiona explained that after leaving the Stonnell family unscathed, despite a major confrontation, Amy had already pieced together most of her identity. Considering Fiona's last name, Amy had taken the initiative to befriend her. As for the fallout with Jane, it was likely because the Kidd family’s father, along with the Larkin family, was trying to take down the Gregory family. Amy, being smart and the future heir, couldn’t be in the dark about this.

Only Jane, the naive one, believed Amy had gone soft from studying too much and thought she fell out with her over Fiona, the top student. How naive.

"But still, why doesn’t Amy go after Jane, then?" Jasmine was puzzled.
