"Don't even get me started! We're in this mess all because of her. If she hadn't just up and left yesterday without saying a word, would we really need to write this ridiculous reflection paper? And it's got to be five thousand words, no less!"
The room buzzed with frustration, voices rising in a chorus of complaints.
Meanwhile, Fiona was in her own little world, completely engrossed in her TV series, seemingly oblivious to the chaos around her. The more she ignored the situation, the more it riled everyone else up.
"Damn it! Why are we the ones paying for her actions? We're all new to this life; why should I shoulder her mistakes?"
A frustrated voice suddenly broke through the classroom chatter, accompanied by the thud of a pen and notebook hitting the desk. That was all it took—everyone started airing their grievances.
"Exactly! Fiona's the one who messed up, so she should be the one getting punished. Why drag us into it? Amy lost her credits because of Fiona and is getting a lecture from the counselor, while Fiona's just sitting there, munching on chips like nothing happened!"
"She's heartless! It's all thanks to her status. We don't have her kind of background, so we end up taking the fall!"
Fiona was so wrapped up in her show that she didn't even notice the hostile glares from all directions.
Nash, Tyler, and Jane met up at the school gate, completely unaware of the drama that unfolded after they left the museum yesterday. They laughed and chatted as they made their way to class.
So, everyone felt bad for Amy and blamed Fiona. To them, it was all Fiona and her friends' fault, and they were unjustly suffering.
Moreover, because Fiona and Nash were from the influential Stonnell and Woods families, the school didn't punish them—partly out of fear and partly out of respect.
Unfortunately, Tyler and Jane weren't as lucky. They not only had to write that ten-thousand-word assignment but also faced credit deductions like Amy.
Upon hearing this, Jane let go of the guy's collar and walked over to Tyler and Nash. They hadn't realized how serious things had gotten. After sharing a look, they quickly headed to the classroom.
