Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time (by Zora Pradeep) novel Chapter 178

Chapter 178

She glanced over at Franklin, who was sitting quietly nearby, watching them. “Dad, I want to eat here. Can we have the food packed and brought here?”

Franklin agreed, “Alright.”

Isabella smiled happily and continued clinging to Maggie.

Old Madam Miller and Old Madam Wilson still had plenty to talk about.

Maggie sat quietly, occasionally chiming in with a sentence here and there.

After a while, Isabella, feeling tired, asked, “Mom, when will you be done with work?”

Maggie didn’t want Old Madam Miller to overhear, so she picked Isabella up and sat down on the sofa in the ward before answering, “I’m not sure, but if nothing unexpected happens, I’ll be even busier.”

“What?” Isabella was taken aback and looked disappointed.

“Then when will you have time to take me skiing?” She had remembered this.

Maggie thought for a moment and said, “Next month.”

“Really?

“Yes,” Maggie nodded. “When I have time, I’ll let you know.”

“Okay!” Isabella cheered up again.

Then she suddenly remembered what happened last night and quickly asked, “By the way, Mom, did you go shopping last night?”

Maggie paused for a moment but then answered, “Yes.”

“Ah? So the person I saw last night really was you?”

“Maybe,” Maggie replied.

Just then, she noticed Franklin was looking at her from the side.

It had been a while since Isabella had gone shopping with Maggie. Although there was a period when she found it boring just to walk around, now thinking back, she really missed it.

She said, “Next time when you’re free, can you take me shopping again? And we can go to the game center and play bumper cars.”

Maggie withdrew her gaze and replied, “Okay.”

Isabella continued talking, but at that moment, Franklin picked up the cup of water that Maggie had been drinking from, poured out the now–cold water, and refilled it with warm water. He placed the cup on the

coffee table in front of her.

Maggie glanced at it and softly thanked him.

Franklin nodded. “You’re welcome.”

He then casually sat down on the nearby sofa.

Old Madam Wilson and Old Madam Miller were still chatting happily, but when they saw the three of them sitting together, Old Madam Wilson paused and stopped the conversation.

Old Madam Miller followed her gaze but didn’t show any reaction, then turned her attention back to the

conversation.

Old Madam Wilson sighed, “You say-

“Since they’ve made a decision, we shouldn’t force them,” Old Madam Miller said.

Hearing this, Old Madam Wilson sighed again.

A short time later, the meal Franklin had ordered arrived.
