Chapter 189

The Next Day.

In the afternoon, Harry and the core technical team of his company came to Cole to discuss work.

Over the past few days, Harry had been very cooperative in his work, saving Maggie a lot of trouble. As a

result, she had become more polite toward him.

As soon as he arrived, Maggie set aside her work to meet with him.

After more than an hour, Harry’s phone rang. It was a call from Franklin.

After apologizing to Maggie, Harry stepped outside to take the call.

What was said on the phone wasn’t clear, but after a brief silence, Harry responded with a simple, “Okay.”

As he was about to end the call, Franklin suddenly said, “My father is back, and we’ll have dinner at home tonight. I’ll have to trouble you to come by.”

Harry paused, “Your father’s back?” he asked, then added, “How many days will he be staying?

“Two or three days.”

After hanging up, Harry returned to the meeting room. He looked thoughtfully at Maggie, who was still deep in conversation with his technical team, unaware of his gaze.

After the meeting ended, as Maggie stood up to send them off, Harry asked, “Are you working overtime tonight?”

Maggie replied casually, “Yes, I still have some things to handle.”

Harry’s gaze darkened.

In other words, she wouldn’t be going back to the Wilson family tonight.

His heart stirred, and he asked, “Do you have time later? Would you like to have dinner together?”

Maggie shook her head, “No, I have a lot to do. I can’t get away.”

Harry thought about offering to have takeout delivered to her, but she wasn’t officially divorced yet.

Given their current relationship, it would be inappropriate for him to make such a suggestion.

After sending Harry and his team downstairs, Maggie quickly went back upstairs.

Harry watched her retreating figure for a long time before pulling his gaze away and speaking to Leo, the core technician in his company, “I need a favor.”

Leo replied, “What is it?”

“I have a friend who wants to delve deeper into natural language processing. Right now, he needs a top–level teacher…”

Leo, understanding the request, didn’t hesitate. However, he paused and added,

“Although I’m quite skilled in this area, to be honest, I don’t think I’m as capable as General Gray from Cole or Miss Miller, who has been talking to us about cooperation. Since Mr. Becker wants to help his friend, I believe getting help from Miss Miller or General Gray might be more effective.”

Harry was taken aback by this response.

He had studied finance in college and didn’t understand AI. But Leo was an expert in the field of natural language processing and was well–known in America, even if he wasn’t the absolute top.

Harry hadn’t expected Leo to praise Maggie so much. He remembered how Johnny had been tirelessly praising her in front of others.

After a while, Julia looked at Harry and smiled, “Feeling bored?

Harry snapped back to attention, It’s fine,” he replied. “You two carry on, I don’t mind.”
