A nurse walked over to Athena and Zaden and said, “Mr. Storm, Teri has a pretty deep cut on her forehead that needs stitches. We can’t say for sure yet if it will leave a scar…
Both of them frowned.
Teri was a little girl–little girls care a lot about how they look. If this left a permanent scar, it would be a big deal.
The atmosphere instantly got heavy.
At that moment, the moms whose kids had accidentally hurt Teri showed up at the hospital. They looked worried and nervous, not knowing what to do.
What happened to Vivian was still fresh in everyone’s mind.
Vivian had targeted Athena, and then Zaden had protected his wife. Vivian had regretted it deeply, but it was already too late.
If Teri’s injury turned out to be serious, Zaden might not let them off easily!
Maya also followed the parents upstairs. She had already gotten a quick look at Teri and knew she needed stitches.
She said to Zaden, “A girl’s face is really important. If it’s done wrong, she could end up with a scar. Let me do the stitches. I’ve done a lot of surgeries abroad, and I’m pretty good at it.”
Athena had just had a big win and stolen the spotlight last time, and Maya was still unhappy about it.
She had been looking for a chance to get back at her.
And this was a good chance, also a good way to make Zaden think better of her. If she saved Teri, the little girl would be grateful. Maya could use her to get closer to Zaden.
Maya smiled gently at Zaden, ignoring everything else around her.
Seeing Maya show up, Athena couldn’t help but frown.
She was totally fed up with Maya, who seemed to constantly pop up around them, impossible to shake off.
Athena’s face grew serious. She could do the stitches herself.

Chapter 355 Stitches
After all, it was just a basic procedure.
The real question was whether Zaden would favor Maya and let her do it instead.

As Athena hesitated, wondering if she should speak up, Zaden looked at her and asked quietly, “Athena, can you do the stitches for Teri?”
Athena froze for a second, surprised that Zaden would ask her first.
She quickly snapped out of it and told Zaden, “I can.”
Zaden nodded. “Great! Then you’ll do it.”
Athena nodded seriously, ready to take charge.
Maya was ignored. She watched Athena walk into the ER, frowning in irritation.
Zaden wouldn’t give her a shot!
She looked at Zaden with wounded eyes, her gaze full of hurt.
Zaden turned to the other students’s moms.
“I’ll be looking into what happened with Teri. If it was just an accident, we’ll let it go. But if I find out that there was foul play …”
He didn’t finish the sentence, but everyone understood what he meant.
They were all on edge, afraid their families would get dragged into trouble.
Athena changed into her white coat and went into the ER.
Teri was sitting on the examination bed, looking nervous. The blood on her face was wiped away, and her head injury was wrapped in bandages, making her look battered and pitiful.
She had been nervous–she knew she needed stitches.
Kids were always afraid of doctors. But when she saw Athena, her eyes widened in surprise, then filled with trust and joy.
