Girl's Doomsday Rebirth Revenge & Survive novel Chapter 386

**Doomsday Rebirth 386**

“Among the few things he said every day,” Crow began, his voice steady yet tinged with an unsettling gravity. “He mentioned how this apocalypse could end at any moment, provided that one person was satisfied. He insisted that this apocalypse was not a natural disaster, but something entirely man-made. No one believed him, of course, but he repeated it daily, dead serious, and that’s why it stuck with me. Quack quack.”

As Caroline listened, a frown creased her brow. The man Crow was describing sounded utterly deranged. The more he spoke, the more the fragments of his story unraveled into a tapestry of madness. Her initial curiosity evaporated like mist in the morning sun, leaving behind only skepticism.

Yet, unbeknownst to her, fate had a peculiar way of weaving paths together. In the not-so-distant future, she would come face to face with this enigmatic man, and her perception of him would shift dramatically.

Aside from Crow’s bizarre tales, Caroline found little of value in the conversation. However, Tyler, standing nearby, was hanging onto every word Crow uttered about the future, his eyes alight with intrigue.

Crow continued his monologue for what felt like an eternity, his voice a relentless stream of information. Outside, the guards and ability users attempted to breach their sanctuary, the sounds of chaos echoing through the air. Each time they tried to push through, Tyler stood firm, pushing them back with unwavering resolve.

Frustration bubbled within Caroline until she finally snapped, her patience wearing thin. With a swift motion, she conjured a pile of steel bars from her storage space, creating an impenetrable barrier that sealed the door and reinforced the walls. No matter how much clamor erupted from the outside, they were safe now.

So, they settled into a tense silence, listening to Crow’s incessant rambling about the future. At one point, Tyler, curiosity piqued, leaned forward and asked about his old mercenary teammates.

From Crow’s cryptic words, he learned that one of his former comrades would arrive in Hornvale in about two weeks, searching for him. But Tyler’s heart sank when he recalled the previous timeline, where Obsidian Fang had mercilessly ended that man’s life before he even had a chance to reach out.

A flash of fury ignited in Tyler’s eyes, a storm brewing within him at the thought of lost opportunities.

By now, Crow had been under their scrutiny for nearly two hours, and the strain was evident on his face. He was battling against the constraints that held him, pushing through the pain that radiated from his body. Finally, he managed to choke out a few words, his voice barely above a whisper. “I… I can tell you the future… you…”

His ability had a cooldown period of ten days before it could reset. He could technically use it in between, but the toll it took on his body was excruciating.

Yet, at that moment, the pain was a mere afterthought. He was acutely aware that if this continued, he would not survive the night.
