Girl's Doomsday Rebirth Revenge & Survive novel Chapter 388

**TITLE: Doomsday Rebirth 388**

The second image that flashed before Caroline’s eyes left her in a state of bewilderment. Why on earth was she envisioning herself in a vast, desolate desert? In her previous life, she had never ventured beyond the familiar confines of Hornvale, and she had no intention of doing so this time around either. The thought of being in such an alien landscape felt surreal and disconcerting.

As the description of the third image washed over her, she felt a sudden jolt of stillness grip her. For a fleeting moment, she was tempted to overanalyze the implications, but instead, a flicker of hope ignited within her. At least this time, her future didn’t seem to be steeped in tragedy. Whatever lay ahead, as long as it promised peace, that was more than enough for her.

Yet, she couldn’t shake the images from her mind. They looped like a broken record, each replay bringing with it a different emotion, a different possibility.

Taking a steadying breath, she cast a sidelong glance at Tyler, who was standing close by.

Tyler, on the other hand, wore a small smirk that danced on his lips, a hint of mischief in his demeanor. He was unfazed by the concept of the future; fate held no sway over him. When confronted with a problem, he tackled it head-on. An enemy in his path? He eliminated them without hesitation.

The only reason he had acquiesced to Crow’s condition was the mention of “your future.”

Yeah—your—implying a collective experience, a shared destiny.

Fear was a foreign concept to Tyler, and curiosity about fate was not something that occupied his thoughts. However, the notion of “your future,” particularly the one that intertwined his life with Caroline’s, piqued his interest.

When Caroline turned her gaze toward him, Tyler met her eyes with an intensity that spoke volumes, though neither uttered a word. An unspoken connection hung in the air, thick with possibilities.

“I’m not expecting much from love,” Caroline murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. “I just want to live well.”

“Given the state of the world, romance should probably be the last thing on our minds,” Tyler replied, nodding in agreement, his tone laced with pragmatism.

After voicing her thoughts, Caroline felt an unexpected wave of relief wash over her. But then a new thought crept in—if she truly had to share her life with someone, then perhaps Tyler wasn’t such a bad choice after all.

Meanwhile, Tyler was lost in contemplation, a singular thought echoing in his mind: We’ve got plenty of time. After hearing Crow’s revelations, he felt a newfound freedom to explore those feelings he had kept at bay for so long.

When it came to matters of the heart, Tyler was an utter novice. He had never harbored feelings for anyone before. Caroline was the first woman who stirred something different within him, something he couldn’t quite articulate.

Crow, ever the keen observer, noticed the subtle glances exchanged between them and quickly grasped the significance of the third vision. Initially taken aback, he mentally muttered, “Ah, so that’s what it was.”

But soon after, frustration bubbled within him. You two, stop staring at each other and let me out of here already!
