**TITLE: Doomsday Rebirth 438**
Caroline’s gaze fixated on the text that hovered in the air of her storage space, a dry chuckle escaping her lips. It was a peculiar sensation, this thing that always spoke with such a sinister tone, as if it harbored a dark soul within its digital confines. Every time it uttered something, it seemed to accuse her of potential violence, insinuating that she would wield this newfound ability to inflict harm upon others.
Well, she might. Just a little.
Tyler had experienced a significant enhancement in his abilities after immersing himself in the rejuvenating spring water.
His physique had transformed; he appeared stronger, leaner, and more solid than ever before. The metal that encased his skin had also undergone a change, becoming more resilient and formidable.
If they encountered someone akin to the metal-wielding leader they had previously battled, Tyler’s blade-arms could likely slice through that adversary’s defenses with ease.
But that wasn’t the extent of his transformation. With a flourish, Tyler raised both arms, and the metal glimmered in the light. Now, his arms possessed the extraordinary ability to morph into elongated blades or any metallic object he desired.
Each finger could shift into a sharp dagger, adapting in size according to his whims.
Even other parts of his body could morph into lethal metal weapons.
Essentially, if he found himself close to an enemy—even with his back turned—he could sprout a blade from his spine and plunge it directly into their heart.
Caroline watched in awe as he demonstrated his newfound skills. They were nothing short of astounding, but there was one glaring downside—Tyler was going to ruin an awful lot of shirts.
“I have a feeling this isn’t the end of it,” Tyler remarked, his excitement palpable. “Once we dive back into real combat, I’ll discover even more about what I can do.”
Denton, standing nearby, was practically bouncing off the walls like a child who had just consumed an entire bag of candy. He darted back and forth across the living room, testing his enhanced stamina, his steps light and his movements swift, a new vitality coursing through him. He seemed so much more animated than before.
He had already asked at least five times if he could try out his upgraded ability, and each time, both Tyler and Caroline had swiftly shut him down.
By the end of it, Denton looked utterly dejected. He retreated to the corner of the room, squatting there in a dejected huddle, sulking like a forlorn child. “Why can you all test your abilities but not me? I can feel mine getting stronger too,” he lamented, his voice heavy with despair.
Caroline felt a pang of sympathy in her chest as she observed his slumped shoulders.
After all, he was still underage. It felt cruel to exclude him from the excitement.
They were no longer in their cramped apartment; Caroline had relocated everyone to a spacious area where they could arrange all the wooden tubs.
“Alright, you can test your ability too. Just give me a moment,” she said, her voice warm.
With purpose, Caroline walked over to the windows and flung them open wide. Only then did she turn back to Denton, a bright smile illuminating her face.
