Girl's Doomsday Rebirth Revenge & Survive novel Chapter 471

**TITLE: Doomsday Rebirth 471**
**Chapter 471 It’s Him**

Caroline’s mind raced with unsettling thoughts. Plagues? Mutant Steelworms? The very idea sent a shiver down her spine, and she quickly dismissed it. She had enough on her plate without diving into those nightmares.

As she surveyed her surroundings, a wave of realization washed over her. The woman who had once returned to life with uncertainty and fear had transformed. She had become tougher, braver than she had ever envisioned during those early days of her rebirth.

Her fingers traced the edges of the small box resting in her palm. It felt surprisingly light, and the mystery of its contents intrigued her. What could possibly be inside?

“These are the keys to three rooms we’ve prepared for you within the base,” Francis’s voice broke her reverie. His tone was serious yet warm, carrying a hint of hope. “You may be living outside now, but if you ever find yourself in need of a place to rest or just want to visit, these are for you. Commander Ball insisted on it. Please, don’t turn this down.”

Caroline nodded slowly, appreciating the gesture. It was a small kindness from the army, a lifeline offered amidst the chaos of their world. Her team, standing by her side, mirrored her silent agreement. None of them voiced any objections; it was a gesture that resonated with them all.

“Caroline, it really pains me to see you go,” Alger lamented, his voice tinged with genuine sadness as he stood next to Francis.

Francis, quick to lighten the mood, flicked a playful jab at Alger’s forehead. “You think I’m thrilled about it? Please. It’s our fault for not being good enough. Look around—hundreds of young recruits, and not a single one could win Caroline over. Tragic, really.”

In that moment, Caroline felt the weight of numerous gazes upon her. She looked up to find the young soldiers lined up on either side, their hopeful expressions practically screaming, “Pick me, Ms. Sinclair!” The sight was both amusing and overwhelming.

Suppressing a laugh, she maintained a serious face, but her eyes sparkled with mischief. Just then, Tyler subtly shifted forward, as if trying to shield her from the eager stares of the rookies.

She had seen him do that before, and it never failed to amuse her. It didn’t bother her in the slightest; she understood his protective instincts. Still, she couldn’t resist the urge to give his arm a quick pinch.

“Don’t block me from the cute rookies! We’re leaving soon. Let me take a good look while I can!” The playful thought danced in her mind.

Caught off guard, Tyler straightened up like a child who had just been caught in mischief. He turned to meet Caroline’s teasing smile, his brow arching in surprise.

His brain momentarily stalled as he registered her playful jab, and a flush crept up his neck. Was it really that obvious?

With a quiet sigh, he stepped aside, granting her a clear view of the young soldiers once more. The blush on his face deepened, but he maintained a facade of seriousness, his expression steady and composed. Inside, however, his mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.

Denton, observing the scene unfold, leaned toward Nelson and muttered, “Tyler really loves pretending to be tough.”
