Girl's Doomsday Rebirth Revenge & Survive novel Chapter 511

**TITLE: Doomsday Rebirth 511**
**CONTENT: Chapter 511 Picking Flavors and Setting Traps**

The relentless sun beat down on the base, casting an oppressive heat that made the air shimmer like a mirage. Nelson sat hunched over a makeshift table, his brow furrowed in concentration as he examined the peculiar mutated mushroom that Caroline had brought him. The vibrant colors of the fungus seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy, but he didn’t even bother to glance up as he muttered, “Not going.”

Denton, feeling the sting of rejection once more, let out an exaggerated sigh and dramatically flopped back against the wall. Life had taken on a monotonous rhythm, and he couldn’t shake the feeling of boredom that wrapped around him like an old, tattered blanket. When would Caroline return? He longed for the thrill of venturing out into the wild, battling mutated creatures that roamed the desolate lands. The base felt stifling, lacking the excitement and camaraderie of their old shelter.

Meanwhile, Tyler was making his way up the mountain, determined to find Caroline. Unbeknownst to him, she was already making her descent, her trusty steed Raven trotting steadily down the rocky slope. The heat was stifling, as if the mountain itself had transformed into a sauna. In just a couple of days, the streams that once flowed with life had dwindled to mere trickles, a stark reminder of the harsh reality they faced.

As Caroline guided Raven down the trail, the horse suddenly picked up speed, sensing the presence of another. Just ahead, she spotted Tyler and his horse, Snow, waiting for her. Her heart fluttered at the sight of him.

“Let’s go home together,” Tyler said, his voice filled with warmth. He had planned to express so much more, but in that moment, all he could manage was the simple invitation.

Caroline smiled back, her eyes sparkling. “Okay.”

Yet, beneath her cheerful exterior, she had something significant weighing on her mind. The alarming rate at which the water sources were shrinking had raised a red flag in her thoughts. In this relentless heat, any remaining water would surely draw in desperate souls, and the last thing they needed was a surge of uninvited guests.

Even with water-type ability users working tirelessly to produce more water, there were still those who roamed the land, parched and searching. The thought of the vulnerable wandering in their direction made her uneasy. This place, typically isolated, had already been breached by that man who had stumbled through the mountains earlier, igniting a spark of concern within her.

It was better to be proactive than to find themselves caught off guard.

“Tyler, we need to talk about setting up some traps around the area,” Caroline said, her tone shifting to one of urgency.

Tyler nodded in agreement, recognizing the necessity of her suggestion. “Absolutely. We can’t afford to take any chances.”

“Go rest. I’ll handle this with Denton. That kid is so bored he’s practically growing mold. It’s the perfect opportunity to give him something to do,” Caroline said with a chuckle.

“Alright, but make sure the military gets a message. We can’t have them wandering into our traps,” she added, her expression turning serious.

They quickly reached an agreement, and as they returned to the base, Denton erupted with enthusiasm at the mention of traps. “Finally! Caroline, you have no idea! While you were gone, Tyler just sat by the door every day, waiting for you. He wouldn’t even let me step outside. I nearly died of boredom!”

Tyler shot him a glare that could have silenced a crowd, and Denton quickly fell silent, awkward laughter escaping him.
