Girl's Doomsday Rebirth Revenge & Survive novel Chapter 514

**TITLE: Doomsday Rebirth 514**

In the past, Jet had been relegated to the role of the house guard, a solitary sentinel watching over their home while Caroline ventured out into the world. Only on rare occasions did she decide to bring him along, a treat for both of them that usually ended in laughter and adventure.

But now, with the mobile base securely in place, their home was no longer a vulnerable fortress. Jet’s days of standing watch were behind him; he was free to explore the world beyond the confines of their safe haven.

Caroline had been mulling over the idea of taking Jet out more frequently, envisioning him as a capable scout, learning the ropes of survival. However, this particular trip was bound to cover a vast expanse of territory, and the possibility of encountering ability users loomed like a dark cloud overhead. She couldn’t shake the nagging worry that the little guy might struggle. After all, he had put on a bit of weight from his sedentary lifestyle at home. Whenever he took to the skies, his round belly puffed out, and with that comical tuft of feathers sprouting from his head, he resembled less of a clever bird and more of a delightful snack.

Yet, today was different. Jet had taken matters into his own wings and snuck out, eager for adventure. Caroline sighed, a reluctant smile creeping onto her face. “Fine, Jet. This will be the beginning of your training—not just to scout, but to shed some of that extra fluff.”

Jet chirped joyfully, his excitement palpable as he flitted around. But before he could soar too high, Raven, ever the stern guardian, swatted him out of the air with a swift motion.

Raven glared at Jet, baring his teeth in a warning. “Rule number one when we’re outside: keep your beak shut. Are you trying to get yourself smacked, you rotund little bird?”

Jet froze mid-flap, wings clamping around his beak in a display of guilt. “Human, I’m really sorry… I just got carried away. It’s been so long since I’ve been out…”

Caroline gently tapped his head, her voice soothing yet firm. “Less chatter, Jet. In fact, it’s best if you don’t speak at all. When you fly, stay vigilant. Don’t hover in one place, avoid flying in straight lines, and never let anyone anticipate your movements. You’re our eyes in the sky. Scout ahead, but don’t venture too far—your limit is 150 yards. Now go.”

With a puffed-up chest, Jet took off, the little bird soaring into the vast blue ahead of them.

Caroline turned to Raven, her expression shifting to one of determination. “Alright, let’s get moving.”

Without hesitation, Raven shot forward, his powerful legs propelling him into a sprint.

Caroline had a clear plan in mind: she intended to spend the next two or three days scouring every nearby mall for jewelry and gems, items she desperately needed to enhance their storage capabilities. As she glanced at the energy bar displayed inside their system, a sense of foreboding washed over her. This mission was bound to be a demanding one.

As usual, she took care to obscure their trail, allowing Jet to scout ahead while she utilized both Raven and a vehicle to travel swiftly. After covering more than ten miles and keeping a safe distance from home—no grazing on grass near the den—she finally began her thorough search.

The heat was relentless, a brutal sun bearing down on her as she rummaged through the storage space for her thermal suit.

Surprisingly, the oppressive heat felt more bearable than the biting cold she had endured in the past.

Even after walking under the blazing sun for an extended period, she found herself neither dizzy nor short of breath.

What truly astonished Caroline, however, was the resilience of Raven and Jet.

Logically, Raven should have been struggling. Thick fur, scorching temperatures, and dogs prone to overheating—it was a recipe for discomfort.

Yet, against all odds, Raven thrived in the sweltering conditions.

Even after sprinting at full speed, he showed no signs of distress, his energy seemingly boundless.
