Divorce Me Before Death Takes Me, CEO novel Chapter 432

Chapter 432

Elizabeth’s POV

I watched Rebecca and Thalia’s humiliated faces with cold satisfaction. For years I’d trailed behind Rebecca, enduring her condescension while she played queen of the Parker family – all because my daughter wasn’t accomplished enough and my husband was useless.

But now everything had changed.

Blake wasn’t Rebecca’s biological son. This revelation was my chance to finally take what should’ve been mine. If he wasn’t Rebecca’s son, he couldn’t be Leo’s either which meant no Parker blood, no claim to Parker Group.

If I could discredit Thalia show everyone what a spoiled brat she truly was – then Parker Group would eventually fall to my Olivia.

Blake’s POV

I watched Elizabeth take the stage, her concerned expression barely masking the calculation in her eyes. She clearly believed that because I wasn’t Rebecca’s biological son, I couldn’t be Leo’s either – just some random baby Rebecca had grabbed to maintain her lie.

If only she knew.

Both as a child and adult, Leo had personally taken me for DNA testing. Each time the results confirmed our connection, disappointment flashed across his face.

When I asked him why, he’d said quietly, “I just thought… if you weren’t my son, I could finally tell your grandfather he was wrong.”

Back then, I couldn’t understand why my father would wish I wasn’t his. Now, I realized each test was a moment he was thinking of Leonora Sterling – the woman he truly loved, and became my father’s eternal wound.

I never understood his devotion until ten months ago, when I heard Audrey had died. Then I finally understood what losing the only woman you’ve ever truly loved feels like.

Elizabeth kept ranting about Rebecca and Thalia, oblivious that I saw through her act. This wasn’t about Grandfather. This was about power.

When she finally ran out of steam, Rebecca stepped forward, shielding Thalia.

“Yeah, my daughter’s not perfect, Rebecca said coldly. “And sure, I’ve influenced her badly.”

She smirked. “But you’re hardly the one to judge us about respecting our elders, right?”

Elizabeth narrowed her eyes.

‘Or did you forget what you said about your father dying? Your plans for his money?” Rebecca pulled out her phone and played a recording.

Elizabeth’s voice filled the venue: “Dad doesn’t have much time left. You and Thalia should spend these days with him. Olivia and I aren’t feeling well, so we

won’t visit.

Then, more callously; “After the old man dies, not a penny goes to outsiders. You’re his daughter-in-law, I’m his daughter – we split his money equally.”

The audience gasped.

“My husband lost everything gambling. Debt collectors are at our door… Why won’t the old man just die already? He’s barely hanging on, torturing us……”

And finally: “Keep the funeral simple. He’ll be dead anyway, he won’t know what we spent. Better keep that money for ourselves – I need it for my debts…”

When the recording stopped, the hall fell silent. Elizabeth stood frozen, face contorted with shock.

Chapter 432

The whispering started immediately:

*Better than a Broadway show!”

‘Rachel fits right in with them – planning to divide assets before the old man’s even dead.”

‘She didn’t even check if her husband was really dead before making deals to split his fortune…”

“No wonder they hated Audrey. I heard she left with nothing but money for her treatments.”

“Maybe they despised her because she wasn’t as greedy and heartless as they are…”

As the murmurs grew louder, I spotted Audrey in the audience, huddled close to Henry Hartford. They sat so close that if she tilted her head slightly, she’d be leaning against his chest.

Henry said something that made Audrey laugh. She clinked her wine glass against his, and they both took a sip, sharing smiles.

My eyes darkened. When did they get so comfortable together?

Elizabeth’s shriek pulled my attention back to the stage. She lunged at Rebecca, nails aimed at her face.

“You recorded me?” she screamed. “I trusted you! You’ve been planning this all along!”

Rebecca stepped back calmly. “You’re accusing me of plotting? Rich, coming from you.”

She looked Elizabeth up and down with contempt. “You were so bold trashing me and my daughter. Now you’re playing victim? Pretending we’re close?”

She lowered her voice. “Is there any feeling between you and me?”

Thalia rushed forward, using her bulk to shield Rebecca.

“Seriously?” she sneered at Elizabeth. “You just attacked me, and now you’re mad when Mom exposes what you really said?”

She moved closer. “Nobody hurts my mom while I’m here!”

With surprising force, Thalia shoved Elizabeth backward. Unprepared, Elizabeth landed hard on her ass, crying out in pain.

I watched with mild interest, resting my chin on my hand. The scene was pathetic yet fitting – perfect for Rachel’s sham wedding.

‘Should we step in, sir?” Michael whispered.

“Why?” I replied. “They seem to be enjoying themselves.”

Suddenly Olivia appeared, helping Elizabeth up before turning on Thalia.

‘How dare you touch her!” she yelled. “Nobody treats her like this! You think being a Parker gives you the right?’

Her face turned purple. “My mom was more spoiled than you before she married! Who do you think you are?”

Olivia charged at Thalia, grabbing a fistful of her hair and yanking hard.

Despite her size, Thalia couldn’t match Olivia’s quickness. As she started losing ground, Rebecca screamed and joined in, making it two against one.

Elizabeth, seeing her daughter outnumbered, jumped back into the fight. All four women were now in a full-blown brawl – pulling hair, slapping, shrieking obscenities that the fallen microphones amplified throughout the hall.

Chapter 432

The audience watched in stunned silence.

Rachel approached me hesitantly. “Your mom and Elizabeth fighting like this…” she whispered. “Shouldn’t you stop them?”

She paused. “You’re still head of Parker Group. The family’s reputation – ”

I raised an eyebrow. ‘What does Parker business have to do with you? Didn’t I make it clear we’re over and divorcing?”

I leaned back. “Still dreaming of becoming Mrs. Parker?”

Rachel’s face turned red. 1-*

A sharp sound cut her off – something shattering on the stage floor.

‘My necklace! Rebecca screamed.
