Chapter 113
Evangelina’s POV
I open my eyes to the visual of my room lighting from the rising sun through the window. Turning, I feel an arm wrapped tightly around me and hear a goan.
“Stop moving.” I hear grumbled, and I chuckle. I sit up from bed, the towel from yesterday falling away with the movement. Warrick sits up with me and runs a hand down his face. My eyes find the wound that he received and it is barely noticeable, just a 3 inch silver scar now. I reach out and touch it.
“What are you doing?” Warrick asks as he tracks my movement.
“What happened?” I ask as I run my fingers over the raised skin.
“Hedley found me on the battlefield and stabbed me.” He says and I raise one eyebrow in question.
“Hadley. As in the woman who couldn’t even hold a sword during training?” I ask and he grumbles.
“Yes. She was playing with us. She was quite good, it actually took me a while to kill her.” He says and I
chuckle low.
“Of course she was.” I say, because why wouldn’t she be? He brings his hand up to my face. His fingers moved my hair out of the way, making my heart flutter.
“He came to see me, you know.” He whispers and I smile sadly.
“Me too. Did he tell you?” I ask. His eyes search mine.
“Yes.” He says and I nod.
“Mother moon came to see me.” I say and his eyes widen in surprise.
“She did?” He asks and I nod.
“She said she gave him the information needed to make his decision.” I say and he nods.
“He said the same to me.” He answers and I feel the grief through the bond.
“She also told me that my extra gifts will be dulled and my extra knowledge will fade away. She said that Ziana will wake in 4 days, and we have a lot of work to do before then, as well as after. She is counting on us to make this realm a good one.” I say and his eyes meet mine.
“No pressure then, right?” He jokes and I chuckle.
“No pressure.” I agree.
We both get out of bed and get dressed. At some point somebody came in and removed our bloodied clothes.
We make our way to the pack grounds, its early morning but there are still people out cleaning the mess from yesterday.
“I need to go see Reanna.” Warrick says sadly and I nod my head in understanding.
“Of course. She will need you. You are the only family she has left.” I say. He kisses my temple before going
back inside the castle to find Jaxon’s sister.
I make my way to the hospital, passing through the outside tent that holds people laying in cots. These were

only to be used if the hospital was full, the hospital can hold up to 400 people, the tent was an extra 100. The conscious ones nod in respect, but don’t say anything as I pass.
When I enter the hospital, I go straight to room 102. I knock, just in case and walk in.
Ziana looks a lot cleaner than yesterday, her hair still has blood in it, but her body has been cleaned and she has fresh clothes on. All of the blood has been cleaned from the sheets and floor.
Lettie is sitting in the chair, while Adria sits on the side of the bed curled next to Ziana. Lettie’s black eyes
meet mine and he sits up.
“Luna.” He says and I give him a small smile.
“Lettie.” I acknowledge him and look at Ziana.
“How is she?” I ask as Adria’s eyes open and I see her baby pink orbs staring at me intently.
“She is the same. She is basically in a coma until her body works up the energy wake. After healing and battling the dark magic, she won’t wake up for at least another few days.” Lettie answers and I nod.
“Four days.” I answer and he nods, not asking how I know. I notice that she has some small scars on her arms, but what catches my attention is the larger, but faded, silver scars around her wrists. I take her hand and observe them. Holding back my tears as I eye Ziana’s face. She has full chapped lips, another old and faded scar running from her hairline and through her eyebrow, circlining then fading around the outside of her left eye, almost as if someone was trying to cut out her eye.
“She has a lot more, doesn’t she?” I ask the pink eyes that have been watching me since I walked closer. “Yes. We all do.” She answers, her eyes looking down in shame. I look at Lettie and his eyes are downcast
