Chapter115
Evangelina’s POV
After walking with Iris and taking in all of the damage done to the pack, I make my way to the castle. Once there, I grab some granola bars and take them up to Warrick’s office. I walk in to find Warrick sitting on his couch next to Reanna. Her eye are red and so is her nose, telling me that she has been crying. They both look at me and I smile, sadly.
“I brought some granola bars.” I say, holding up the food.
“Thank you.” Reanna says, quietly as I hand her one.
“I’m sorry.” I say as I sit down in a chair facing them. She just nods, orange eyes watery, and takes a bite of the bar.
“Reanna is helping me with memorial ideas.” Warrick says, pointing to the paper on the table. I reach for it and begin reading the different ideas.
“I love the wall idea and the flag idea, we could combine both.” I say and she smiles.
“Those were my favorite too.” She says quietly.
“How would you feel about making a memorial just for us for your brother and parents? You knew them best, what would they like?” I suggest and she has a bigger smile and nods.
“I would like that. It would be a spot where I could talk to them. I think a gazebo in the gardens would be nice. ‘She says and I nod.
“We can do that. You’re in charge of the plans. I know Iris will be okay with giving us a section of her gardens. Maybe she could help, if you would like.” I mention and she nods, standing up and taking a notebook with
her.
“I am going to go find her now. Thank you, Evan.” She says and walks out of the door. After the door closes, Warrick heaves a sigh. I look towards him and he seems tired.
“She took it a lot better than I thought. She said she felt the family link snap yesterday so she had all night to process it. I wish there was more I could do to help her.” He says, running a hand through his hair.
“Just be there. Me and you both know that is all a person can do.” I say and he nods and leans back. He pats the seat next to him, silently asking me to sit next to him and I do. When I sit down his arms wrap around me and he breathes in my scent. After a few moments he pulls back, his blue orange eyes sarong intently into
mine.
“How is Ziana?” He asks and I smile sadly.
“She looks a lot better. Lettie and Adria are staying with her. I met another one of their friends, his name is Mark. They had the idea to catalog the dead enemy bodies, so I left him in charge of that. Your mother and I walked through the square. The lower half will need to be rebuilt, the apartments behind the square are destroyed, there is a lot that needs to be done. We will need to reach out for help.” I explain as he takes notes. “To be quite honest, I am not sure where to start.” I say and he nods.
“I think while we are counting our loss, we need to focus on housing, especially with the apartments lost, and

the shops where some people live above.” He says and I nod.
“Sounds like the best place to start.” I say and we start speaking through different solutions.
After a few hours of talking through our solutions we have finally come up with some.
We are going to be asking people with extra room in their homes to take in other families. The visiting Alpha’s and warriors are scheduled to leave today and tomorrow, once they do we will clean their rooms and give them to the people who have lost their homes.
Knocking on the office door brings us out of our conversation. We turn towards the door as it opens and see Henry and Mason walk in, looking somber.
“We came to bring the update. We have a list of wounded and the list of deceased. Alpha Stanley has left and taken his warriors, said something about not being respected?” Henry says, giving me a look and I laugh. “Of course. Hey was being an a*swipe to Mark and I politely asked him to leave.” I say and he chuckles.
“Politely?” Mason asks and I nod.
“What is the update?” I ask before we could veer off topic. Henry clears his throat, looking from me to
