The Rogue Alpha and the Werewolf King (by Hailey Kristine) novel Chapter 156

Zane’s POV

To say that I am shocked is an understatement. Ziana has pushed us away and I understand why, but I am

glad that she has finally opened up. I know that she hasn’t told me everything, but this is a good start.

Her confession has both opened and closed the wound of losing my mom and aunt Rose, but now I know what happened to them. I knew that they would have loved her, but actually knowing that they did, and

helped her in such a wonderful way, has my heart breaking and healing at the same time.

It didn’t escape my notice that she said Franklin was going to carve out her eye if she didn’t kill them. I made

the connection to the scar on her face, the one that starts at her hairline, then through her eyebrow and

around her eye. It is delicate, but sharp and surprises me that it isn’t jagged.

I watched her, curled up in my bed, tucked under my arm, and smiled. She has helped close the mystery of my

mother and aunt, I can now heal from the wound that was barely closed. I will help her heal too.

There is a sharp knock at my door, distracting me from my thoughts. Carefully I untuck her and move as

quietly as possible to the door. Right before I open it, there is another sharp knock and I open it, glancing

behind me to see that Ziana has rolled to her other side. I scowl at Killian as I step into the hallway and close

the door gently behind me.

What do you want?I whisper yell and he glares at the door behind me.

She in there? He asks, folding his arms over his chest.

Yes.I answer and he scoffs.

Right after she tells us she killed our mothers and pack members, you take her to the bedroom and f*ck her?

I thought I knew you better than that.” Killian snarls, making me frown.

You don’t know what.” I begin, but he holds his hand up.

You know what? I don’t care. Whatever it is, just leave me out of it. I can’t believe that you are so quick to fall

in her arms. You aren’t who I thought you were.He says, then turns and storms away. Leaving me

flabbergasted. I’m not who he thought I was? Are you kidding me? He’s not even thinking right now.

Before I get the chance to go back into my room, Addie comes around the corner, eyeing me suspiciously.

What’s going on?She asks and I sigh.

She told me and Killian about our mothers and the attack.I say, causing her eyebrows to rise, then scrunch.

She. Told. You?She asks and I nod, looking back at my room.

“Not everything, but it’s a start. Did you need her for something? She is sleeping now.I explain and she

shakes her head.

No I was just coming to let her know Leo fell asleep, so she would have a little bit before he would be

expecting her.” She explains and I nod.

Okay. I’ll let her know when she wakes up.I say, then turn and go to head into my room before she stops

  1. me.

Chapter37

You forgive her?She asks and I turn, her eyes cautious.

There was nothing to forgive her for. She was forced to do what she did. If anything my heart is happy, knowing that our mothers were her first family.I explain and she nods.

And. Killian? She asks, forcing me to huff.

Being a dumba*s. He hasn’t actually thought about it. She was a child.” I say, shaking my head.

Don’t let her pull away. It took a lot for her to tell you guys. Killlan might be stupid, but you’re obviously not. Treat her right and don’t let her run.She warns and I nod.

I won’t. She is mine and will be for the rest of my life.” I promise. She smiles and nods, turning back and walking down the hallway.

I go back into my room, shuffling carefully to lay next to Ziana. She is perfect, like an angel just for me.

Killian’s POV

I CAN’T BELIEVE IT! I can’t. She is the reason my mother and aunt Lily were taken. She’s the reason they are dead. SHE killed them. My mate. The woman who was supposed to be made for me, killed my mother and aunt. Took my family from me. Not only that, she was a part of the attack and killed pack members. MY people.
