Warrick’s POV One Month Later

I stare at the list of things I need to do and remember that day, as I normally do.

After Henry left, I went to my office and wrote as many things I could remember about people telling me what was wrong in the pack. I never listened to them before, just thinking that they are complaining about the little things, but as I looked at the list I realized that I did neglect my duties.

After I wrote them down, and was staring at the list my mother and Henry’s parents barged into the room. I told them all what happened, leaving out the fact that the Rogue Alpha was my mate. They were furious but also heartbroken that their children would rather become rogues instead of living here. After all of that was done, they left and my Beta Jaxon came into my office. I told him everything that happened, also leaving out the fact that the rogue Alpha was my mate. People don’t need to know that, I have a chosen mate and it is going to stay that way.

After explaining everything to him I handed him the list of things I could remember. After some coaxing, he told me some more things that were wrong and we sat down and discussed them. We made a plan to try and fix some of the things. One of the solutions was bringing Tali’s tutor back to life so I could torture him, but that is impossible, unfortunately.

Now I stare at the list with multiple lines through the problems. We have solved the problems of trade and value of items, farming issues, omegas being treated poorly, which I didn’t realize how bad it was, and some buildings that were not up to code.

The biggest and most difficult thing on the list is looking into our request branch. Henry tried telling me multiple times that something was fishy there, but I never gave him room to elaborate on that. So I don’t know what I am looking for when it comes to that branch. Everything seems fine, I have a big stack of papers on my desk that says so.

The other thing I need to do is find this rogue pack. I need to bring my sisters and Henry home.

A knock on my door brings me out of my thoughts. I look up to see Hadley sauntering in to my office with a tight black dress that accentuates her tight a*s. It reaches just above her knees and shows just enough cleavage to get me turned on. She was also on my list, but I refuse to believe that this sweet woman is anything but that. Her light brown hair is hanging in loose curls just below her shoulders, while her naturally red lips and a beautiful smile on her face. “I know, love. But you know that I have been busy with some things that need to be done in the pack.” I say reassuringly and she frowns slightly.

I know that you have some friends here, but it seems like you haven’t really connected with the pack and you have been here as my chosen mate for a year. Three years before that as my guest. I say and she cringes slightly.

“Are you saying that your pack doesn’t accept me as your mate?” She asks and I sigh.

“It’s not that. It is just that they will be more accepting if you start to join the community. I am positive that they will love you just as much as I do when they get to know you.” I say and her eyes cast down.

“But you love me and that’s all that matters.” She says and I nod my head.

“That is all that matters.” I agree and bring her lips closer to mine. We kiss briefly and I rest my forehead on hers. “You will be my queen and in doing so you will be the mother of the pack. They will come to you with issues and you will solve them. They have to feel comfortable with you to do that.” I say and she nods her head.

“I’ll try.” She answers and I kiss her again, more passionately this time.

She twists on my lap so that she is straddling me. Her dress now above her thighs, I can smell her arousal start to spread throughout the room and I start to pant.
