The Rogue Alpha and the Werewolf King (by Hailey Kristine) novel Chapter 34

Chapter 34

Warrick’s POV

Like I said. I have my reasons. She states and I grow angry.

You may have your reasons, but because you lied they went to a rogue pack. In doing so they were corrupted. Rogues are filthy vile creatures, don’t you understand? They could have been killed?!I yell.

Were they? She asks calmly and I take a deep breath.

“Were they what?I grit out and she sighs.

Were they hurt?She asks.

No. They weren’t hurt. But now as I am sure you know, the girls turned rogue and are living with that, what they call pack.” I grit out and she takes a moment to answer me, thinking hard about what she says. Warrick.. I wouldn’t have sent them into a dangerous situation. I received a vision that the girls needed to train at that pack and so when they called me to ask what to do I told them I would cover for them. They stopped here on their way to and from the pack and I saw the improvement in both of them. More so with Talissa. She was radiant when she was making her way back to your pack. They told me all about the pack and I was surprised to find out that it is a wonderful pack full of welcoming people.” She says and I am almost flabbergasted.

It can’t be a pack if it is not registered. They are rogues and a rogue pack is dangerous.” I say and I can almost see her shaking her head at me.

No sweetheart. That pack is everything yours should be.She said and those words halted me.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?I grit out.

Honey, all I am saying is that this is a good pack. If you were welcome there then you would be able to see, but then again you refuse to look past the box that you have built yourself in.” She says.

I don’t understand what that means.” I say. I hate when she doesn’t shoot it straight, damn seers.

It doesn’t matter, because until you recognize what your own faults are, you will never be able to get out of the box. Not all rogues are bad. Not all other species are bad. You only choose to think that they are and not go beyond what you believe. That will be your downfall darling. You refuse to acknowledge that not all people are bad. You need to see the good in them. She lectures and I feel a part of myself opening to the idea. Almost blossoming at the thought of looking at the person and not the species. I don’t know what part of myself is doing that and I don’t like how it makes me feel.

I just want to get my sisters and Henry back home.” I say, ignoring her statement.

Warrick. She warns You will not be able to bring them home if they do not wish to come home. They have their mates and are you going to welcome them with open arms? She snaps and I am taken aback. I haven’t thought of that.

I mean if that is what it takes to bring them home then yes.I answer and as if she already going to say she springs up with another thing I haven’t thought about.

ws what I was

SO if you accept your sister’s rogue mates, what about yours?Of course she knows about my mate, she is á

seer.

I already have a mate. Hadley.I deadpan.

That crazy girl is as worthless as a rooster without a hen.” She quips and I growl.

She is my chosen mate and you will speak of her like she is your queen. Because she soon will be.I grunt.

Oh Honey please. I’ll say whatever I want about that little demon from hell. Oh sh*t I shouldn’t say that ! might summon her here.” She says and I grow angry.

ENOUGH!I yell and she laughs at me. ACTUALLY laughs at me.

Uh oh. Did I make wittle Warrick mad? Did he have to put his big boy pants on to yell at me?She asks in a voice that is like she is talking to a child. I’m surprised you could put them on by yourself, that you wouldn’t need that parasite to help you.She says and I bubble with anger. Almost crushing my phone.

Warrick. I have seen that you have changed on some things, but not others. Let me know when you are ready to climb out of your box and look at the world in a different view. She says and hangs up on me. I slam my phone down in anger. That conversation was pointless.

She says that I need to see the world in a different way. That means looking at a person for who they are and not what they are. I take a minute to calm down and try calling her again. Then again, and again until she

picks up.

What Warrick, don’t you know I am a busy woman? She asks impatiently.

I need to see them.” I say and she quiets down.

Who?She asks, but I know she knows who I am talking about.

My sisters and Henry.I answer.

Why?She asks.

I just. I need to know they are alright at least. They don’t have to come home with me. I just. I just want to make sure they are okay. And apologize for how/l acted the last time I saw them.I say sadly.

Warrick. You do realize what you are asking me right? She asks and I turn to look out my window, staring at

the blue sea.

YesI answer and as if she doesn’t think I know she elaborates.
