Evangelina’s POV
I take a long shower, letting all of the memories and the information of Warrick helping me settle in my mind. It’s weird remembering things that happened years ago, knowing they were years ago, and yet they all feel like it happened just today.

After I step out of the bathroom, dressed and feeling more refreshed, I get a zing of energy and nearly skip to my office where I know Linc is waiting. I need to tell him about everything, but most importantly about Ziana. I have a plan forming in my mind on how to go about this, we will see if he takes it well. I walk into my office to see Linc pacing back and forth. He stops when I walk in and the look in his eyes is almost chaotic.
“What’s going on?” He asks as soon as the door closes. I don’t say anything as I go to sit on the couch and he follows suit. I look into his green eyes as I take a deep breath and look away.
“I’ll start from the beginning.” I say as I notice he nods his head out of my peripheral vision.
“I woke up in a cell and spent about half of the time there. The only person to come in was the nasty f*ck Franklin. That’s my stalker. He is a powerful dark seer and kept calling me his queen. I didn’t understand at the time, but I think he somehow saw me as Warrick’s mate. I am not sure how since I was still mated to Xavier, but either way he somehow knew. He tried to beat me into submission, but because of the training we had I was not breaking. After the third night he forced himself on me, during which I felt an unmistakable pain of having my child killed. He told me it was Ziana and I gave up. After which, he realized this and moved me to a room with a bed. The next few days he did what he wished, while also giving me information. He already weakened two packs, forcing us to send warriors to aid them. After our warriors were gone he attacked us to get me. Since he had me he was going to work on weakening other packs and gathering more forces, to eventually kill the King and take his place, with me by his side. The night before my birthday mother moon came to me and told me that the pain of losing a child was not that of Ziana, but of the unborn child in my womb. She said that I needed to leave Ziana there and leave once I got all of the knowledge and power that her and fate decided to give me. When I tried to refuse, she said that if I go against her and fate that they would have no choice but to strip me of the gifts which would kill me. Frankf*ck somehow had a vision that I would escape and before I could leave he messed with my memories so that I would forget
Once I made it across the everything if I did escape. I broke out and somehow made it to our packlar border my memories felt like they were being deleted. You know what happened after I woke up.” I explain everything, leaving out as many disgusting details as possible.
I watch as Linc breaths heavily while processing my words. I grab his hand which causes him to look at me. His wolf is trying to push out and I can see his green eyes flicking to black as he takes deep breaths to try
and calm down.
“So this sick f*ck wants to rule the kingdom with you by his side?” He grits out. I nod my head and bite my lip, knowing that what I have to say next is going to upset him even more.
“Linc, Ziana is alive. I know it.” I say and I see his eyes settle on green as pain flashes in his eyes for his stolen niece. “Linc, I need you to promise me something.. No matter what happens you take care of her. You help her with anything that she may need.” I say and his mouth opens and closes, not knowing what to say.
“Why would I need to do that? We both will.” He finally manages to get out and I shake my head. He stares at

me eyes turning dark as he asks his next question.
Evan What did you see?” He asks, voice growling at the end of the question.
It doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is that you promise me you will take care of her.” I state and he jumps to his feet, looking down at me.
OF COURSE! will take care of her, you shouldn’t even have to ask that of me, but the fact that you are, tells me that you know something the rest of us don’t.” He says accusing me and I smile weakly at him. “NO!” He shouts, when he realizes what I am saying and begins to pace the room again.
“No. No. No.” He says while running a hand through his hair. “She is my family and so are you. What is the other option?” He pleads and I sigh as I stand up.
“Linc. There is only one outcome.” I say calmly. I flinch as his fist connects with the wall, while he stills
against it, breathing heavy.
“NO! That’s not possible.” He yells as the door opens. We glance to see Nali rushing into the room.
“What’s going on?” She rushes out as Marie comes in behind her, looking from me to Linc and the hole in the
wall.
“She says she will die during the war.” He states as his fists clench at his side now. Nali and Marie look at me with wide eyes.
“What?” Nali whispers, looking to me for confirmation.
“Nali.” He says and she looks at him. I look at Marie with a small smile as the frown on her face deepens. Before I get a chance to look back towards Linc, I feel a hard push in my mind, breaking down my barriers. I clench my head and fall to my knees at the sudden intrusion, trying to block it out but failing due to the potion still in my veins from earlier.
After a few moments I sigh in relief, but it is short lived as I realize what just happened. Nali pushed inside my memories to find the one of my vision. I look up wide eyed as she stares at me, mouth open wide.
