Chapter 85
Chapter 85
Warrick’s POV
After my night of running, my anger has lessened. I am more confused and have so many questions. It’s almost 10:00 by the time I reach my room. I scent her before I see her and Viggo growls.
I walk in to find Hadley rummaging under my nightstand. “Where the hell is it?” She mumbles under her
breath.
“Where is what?” I ask. She jumps up and spins around to face me with wide eyes. She quickly plasters a
smile on her face and attempts to make innocent eyes at me. At one time that might have gotten me to let things go, but now I am just angry, and so is Viggo. It is taking all of my willpower to hold him back from
ripping her throat out.
“Oh, darling. Where have you been? I have been looking for you.” She says, while fiddling with hands.
“And you thought I might be hiding in my night stand?” I ask and she laughs nervously.
“Of course not, silly. I was looking for an earring that I lost.” She says, sauntering towards me with what i can
only imagine is her seductive face, but it really only looks like she is constipated.
“Are you sure you weren’t looking for the bundle of herbs that were so delicately placed under my nightstand?
“I growl and she pales.
“1. I don’t know what you’re talking about. What herbs?” She shudders. I lose my grip on Viggo and he reaches
out, grabbing Hadley’s throat and squeezing.
“The love spell you c*nt.” He growls as she claws at my hands to let her go.
“I.. Don’t..” She struggles to get out. Even the sound of her voice pi*ses us off.
“YOU came between me and my mate, you b*tch.” Viggo growls and squeezes harder. She is heaving and turning blue, but starts shaking her head as much as she can, with a hand around her throat.
“WARRICK!” I hear as my door bangs open.
“WHAT?! I am busy.” I yell, dropping Hadley and turning to face the man who just stormed into my room. My anger fades as I see the panic in Jax’s face.
“We’re under attack.” He rushes and I feel my adrenaline surge. I look back to
“You’re staying here.” I say, dragging her to my closet and locking her in.
“NO!” She screams, but I pay her no mind. I turn back around and look at Jax.
“Update.” I say as we make our way outside.
ey who is gasping for air.
“East side, Evan saw it and the timeline adds up to now.” He answers me. Damn good gift.
As we make it outside there is a wall of rain. This is definitely not normal. We can’t see anything, let alone try to make our way through it. We stop, trying to look around, but it’s useless. After a few moments the rain lightens and I pause. It takes a minute to realize what is happening. Our people start running towards a
group of other people. Wind is picking up, but other than that the rain has muddied plans, literally. I run towards the action, Viggo immediately searches out Evan. After a couple kills, we find her about 50 feet

away covered in blood, holding a sword, and surrounded by a group of people. We run towards her to help, but before we reach her the people are blown away and a bubble–like black shield surrounds her. A man and woman appear in the bubble. The woman is blonde and the man has black hair, I can only see the backs of Their heads, and Evans face.
The battle seems to freeze as our enemies turn and stare into the bubble encasing the man, woman and Evan. Our people do the same, confused with the sudden atop of violence. The only person moving in Linc, who is next to the bubble trying to break through it.
Let’s talk, my queen.” The man says and I see the cringe on her face. I freeze at that. Who the f*ck is this
dude?
“Awe. You haven’t missed me as much as I missed you I see.” He says and tisks at her. I watch Evan’s face
the whole time and she has somehow managed to remain emotionless.
“Not wanting to talk today. Well that’s okay I came because I have a proposal for you.” He says and snaps his fingers. The blonde disappears and reappears with another woman on his side. The other woman looks
around quickly and what I see almost stops my heart. Bright purple eyes, but that’s not what gets me. It is the face of a mini, younger Evan. She turns back around and faces Evan.
My eyes turn towards Evan and I see that her face has paled.
“Come back home with us, my love. We can be a family again.” The man says and I can feel my jaw drop as I
realize what is going on. This is Evan’s mate and daughter.
Evan stares at her daughter, as a tear tracks down her face.
“I’m so sorry Ziana, I love you.” Evan says and I see the man clench.
“Take her back.” He says and the blonde disappears with Ziana. “This was your last chance. Next time there
will be no offer.” The man says and the blonde appears and disappears again with the man.
“NO!” Evan screams. The bubble around her disappears and she looks around. The enemy is starting to
retreat.
“AHHHH” I hear a painful scream from Evan and next thing I know she turns into a beautiful white wolf and starts running towards the retreating figures.
Her wolf is ripping people to shreds, while others are taking her lead and attacking the people. They aren’t even fighting back, just trying to hightail it out of here. Her wolf catches me off guard, there are white wolves, but not any with a seemingly blue tint to the coat. I don’t get much of a chance admire it before it turns
red.
I run towards the fight and start picking them off too. I need something to take this anger out on.
After the last of the people have fled or are eliminated I turn to see Evan laying on the ground. My anger spikes at the thought of her mate and daughter. AND the fact that she is naked from her shift and other
