Warrick’s POV

We transport back into the new extension, each of us carrying at least 5 bags. I don’t understand why Sirena decided to pack so much. Marie and Linc are waiting there for us. They both smile towards Sirena and Sirena jumps and runs to Linc, hugging him. Nali growls and comes from seemingly nowhere and pushes Sirena off, who goes wide eyed and squeals then hugs Nali. Nali stands there shaking from Sirena jumping in her arms.

“EEEK! Linc you found your mate! Ah!!! AND YOU’RE GOING TO BE A DAD!” She squeals. Oh my goddess, i didn’t realize that a person could squeal so much. Viggo rumbles in my head about it too.

Linc puts an arm on Sirena, successfully stopping her from hugging Nali.

“Thank you. Nali this is Sirena, Sirena this is mate Nali.” Linc introduces the two. Sirena’s smile is almost too

wide as she stares at Nali.

“HI! OH I’M SO EXCITED!” Sirena says clapping and jumping. I look at Evan, who has set the bags down as she looks at the scene in front of her. She must feel my eyes on her because she turns to me and smiles apologetically. I shrug my shoulders as if I don’t care, but I don’t know how I feel about this. Sirena is a little odd. She seems naive at times, kind of like a child, but then she seems vicious and calculating. Not to mention she seems like a bubbly airhead most of the time. Maybe she has a personality disorder.

“I need you to take Sirena to her room and give her a tour, Introduce her to some people, and make sure she doesn’t wander off.” Evan says to Linc, Mari and Nali.

“Also, make sure to show her where the lake is.“,

say as I set the bags on the floor. I hear another squeal and the pattering of feet. I hold my ground as the not so tiny woman practically throws herself at me. “THANK YOU!” She yells as I cringe and pat her back. She lets go and beams up at me with her wide smile. “You’re welcome.” I say and look at Evan who is holding back a laugh. “But you shouldn’t thank just me. Evan was the one who told me you love the lake so much. She even asked me if you could stay at the cottage out there so you could be more comfortable.” I say, eyeing her.

Right on cue there is another squeal and the woman picks Evan up, jumping up and down with her.

Now it’s my turn to hold back my laughter. Evan looks so awkward being held in the grown woman’s arms. She pats Sirena’s side and she wheezes.

“Warrick and I need to go to plan, Sirena.” Evan says.

“OH!” Sirena gasps and sets Evan down.

“Let’s get you settled, then the tour.” Marie says, while gathering up the bags on the floor. Evan quickly takes off down the hallway connecting the old castle to the new extension. I follow after her and when I catch up to her she turns and punches my arm. Hard enough to bruise.

“Ow.” I flinch as I rub the spot she just hit.

“That’s for sending her after me, you a*shole.” She grumbles and I begin to laugh.

“You shouldn’t have laughed at me.” I say and she glares at me. “You should have seen your face!” I wheeze out and she smirks slightly, telling me that she is holding back a smile.

“Shut up.” She says, smacking my arm playfully, then continuing on toward the conference room.

Once we reach the room she goes back to the board and begins moving things around, while writing.

“You should have told me about how.. Um.. She is.” I say, while scratching the back of my neck awkwardly

Evan side eyes me.

“You mean how she would be naked, the siren call, or about her.. different personality?” She asks, turning

toward me, fully.

“All of the above.” I answer and she smiles.

“You’re the one who invited yourself to come with me. I didn’t have time to warn you.” She says with a smirk, causing my heart to skip a beat. I walk up to her as she takes a few steps back, trapping her against the desk. 1 pinch her chin, forcing her to look me in the eye.

“I wouldn’t have let you go alone, beautiful. You are my mate and I will make sure that you are safe.” I say, lowly and I feel a shiver run through her.

She licks her lips as she glances down at mine, then back into my eyes. Her breathing comes out harder the longer I stand in front of her.

“I was safe.” She whispers, causing Viggo to growl.

“We didn’t know that. You said she could be dangerous.” I counter, and trail my hand across her cheek, then down her neck and arm. The goosebumps that erupt with the path my hand follows make me smile.

“We should.” She rasps, clearing her throat and trying again. “We should plan. Now that we have Sirena.” She says quietly. I nod but don’t move. After A few more beats, I backed away, turning toward the board with different plans on it.

After about an hour of talking about different aspects of different plans we have a few pretty good strategies. “We should start calling the Alpha’s for help and get everybody here for an update meeting, so we can let people know.” She says and I nod in agreement. After calling the different Alpha’s, only half of them say they can send some sort of help. The next people are the ones that are her in our packs, we call them and they all meet us in the meeting room. We explain all the different strategies to each group of people. After 3 hours of calls, and communications, everybody leaves the room.

“I think it is lunch time.” I say and Evan looks at me. Her stomach growls in agreeance and her face flushes.

“I think my stomach agrees.” She laughs and I smile, grabbing her hand and taking her to the private kitchen on my floor. She brokers no argument and follows behind me.

When we get there, I lead her to the bar stool and she sits. I then begin taking all of the stuff out to make sandwiches. She watches me as I make some ham and turkey baggetts.

“What’s that?” She asks as I put mom’s homemade raspberry pepper jam on it.
