The Rogue Alpha and the Werewolf King (by Hailey Kristine) novel Chapter 95

Chapter95

Evangelina’s POV

Alpha. You finally found somebody. I am happy for you. He’s powerful too, just what you need.Sirena says vibrantly. Goddess, I forgot how everything with this girl is like she is running on sunshine and rainbows. And you came to introduce him to me. Was this some sort of test for him? Because if it was, I like the test. Kill him if he fails. She claps her hands and jumps up and down. I L.O.V.E it!She squeals. And I roll my eyes at her, she is an odd duck, maybe I should have warned Warrick. Meh. It’s too late now.

Sirena, I need to speak with you about something important. Do you mind if we sit down somewhere?I ask and her face turns serious as she bobs her head up and down.

Come. Come. I have a new blend of tea for you to try, Alpha.” She says as she bounces toward the cottage.

Warrick pins me with an alert stare that asks What the hell?and I shrug my shoulders, and proceed toward

the cottage.

Once we enter the cottage I smell the herbals hanging around to dry. One would think that she is a witch with the amount of herbs she has hanging around, but she just found her niche. Herbs and IT.

The cottage is a one story, two bedroom house. It is quite cozy and spacious for what the outside looks like. One of the bedrooms is her computer room and the other is her room.

Sit. Sit.She says, motioning us toward the small dining table that will just fit the four of us. Dalya is normally a silent shadow, standing off to the side in these situations, but here she seems to relax a little, as she always sits and drinks tea with us.

Sirena brings in a kettle with a bowl of herbs and hands it to me.

Tell me what it is missing.” She says, and I sniff the bowl, letting the aromas dance around my nose. Jasmine, lavender, orange, vanilla, and clove.

Mint for cooling or cinnamon for comfort. Depends on what you’re going for.I answered and she scrunched up her nose in thought.

Cinnamon. That is what I was thinking before, so we will go with that. She says, going to the kitchen and bringing out another container. She opens it and sprinkles the cinnamon into the bowl, then puts a scoop of the mixture into the cups and pours the hot water over it. Once she is done she runs the cinnamon container back to the kitchen and comes back to take a seat.

So. What’s so important that you brought the King of Werewolves to my humble abode? She asks, eyeing Warrick, then staring at me expectantly.

How did you..Warrick begins to ask as she waves him off.

Facial recognition. She answers, while still staring at me.

Well, Serina, we need your help.I start and she sighs dramatically and waves her hand for me to c The war is coming quicker than we thought. We want you to help us win. Your power is unlike any other and..She interrupts me.

And you want the psycho siren on your side. She surmises. I shake my head at her use of words, but don’t say anything, knowing the argument is futile. Hmm. I’m curious. The other side must be very powerful if you

are coming to me to help you.” She says.

They’re using dark magic.Warrick says and Sirena looks at him with a smile.

“Of course they are. They have quite a bit of it too.She answers, making us tense. She waved her hand like it’s not a big deal. It’s something that I can feel, like most other magical beings, but a siren’s magic is considered in the realm of dark magic. It’s said that we were created from a mermaid and a dark witch. SO I can feel a darker energy in the air. Hard to explain, but that’s the best way.She says and we nod our heads.

So. You’ll help us?I ask and she stares at me.

You know I have a hard time controlling my magic. She states and I nod my

head.

I do. I wanted to partener you with a wolf with the gift of electricity so that if it gets out of control they can knock you out for a little bit.I say and he eyes widen.

You want me to say yes, when you just told me you don’t trust me?She says high pitched and places her hand across her chest like she is offended. I scoff.

Please Sirena. If I didn’t trust you, you wouldn’t be one of the heads of the IT team.” I argue and she smirks, eyeing her nails.

True. Okay, what do I get if I help? She asks and I huff.

Besides the satisfaction of using your gift to help?I ask and she rolls her eyes.

Obviously.She says.
