Debra sneezed halfway across the world.
Marion tucked her blanket tighter. "You catching a cold?"
"Nah. I bet Lillian is missing me," Debra sighed.
"We've got stuff to handle. They'll get it."
"Maybe."
Their car pulled into a shadowy alley. Black-market deals lined the street. When they stepped out, the air thickened with danger.
...
A Rolls-Royce idled at the school gate.
Lillian and Solomon climbed in, but neither of them spoke.
School was their normal life, a mask they wore. Once they got home, the real world kicked in. Their lives weren't ordinary.
The gates of the Houston Mansion swung open, and the car stopped. They stepped out, cracking their wrists in sync.
"Miss, Mr. Solomon Osborne, you're back," Ben greeted with his usual polite smile.
Neither of them reacted much, just strode into the yard.
Suddenly, two knives darted toward them. Lillian dodged them without breaking a sweat.
