Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1833

Debra didn't snap at his bluntness. She just blinked. "How do you know my name?"

Her suspicious stare pinned him. He scrambled, then grinned, "Take a guess."

She frowned. "Weirdo."

He propped his chin, watching her huff.

"Tough luck. You're stuck with a weirdo as your deskmate."

"Andrew says don't talk to strangers who hit on you. Keep this up, and I'm telling the teacher."

"Come on. Got a scarier threat?"

"What do you mean?"

"Means I'm not scared of the teacher."

Debra was frustrated, unable to formulate a response. Drake just enjoyed watching her squirm.

"If you're not afraid of the teacher, I'll tell Andrew about it. He'll deal with you."

"You mean the sickly guy from the Potter family?"

"Don't call him that!" Debra yelled, shooting up.

The room went silent. All eyes turned to them.

"Better," she said, organizing her new textbooks. "I don't know how you got my name, but I'm engaged. I'm not into you."

Drake laughed.

This version of Debra was so naïve and full of herself.

"Who said I'm into you?"

"Then why did you follow me? I get it. You're one of those pompous guys who can't handle rejection and makes excuses to save face."

His face darkened. That was the same old Debra, younger but equally sharp-tongued.

"Bullshit!" he growled.
