Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1834

Debra flinched at his rasp.

Drake paused, wondering if he had gone too far.

Then he nodded, believing so. This wasn't the full-fledged Debra he knew. It was just another regular girl.

He frowned, unsure how to communicate with normal girls. Her scared look rattled him even more.

"Yo, that's not how you chase a girl," a guy said, slinging an arm around Drake.

"Debra's a catch, but you're coming on way too strong," another added.

They acted like they were old friends with Drake, but he wasn't having it.

"Hands off," he said coldly.

In the real world, people would've backed off or even begged forgiveness, but these two guys laughed it off, slapping his shoulders.

"No need to play shy. We're all guys," one of them said. "If you're into her, we'll help out. Let's hit the court later. My treat at the cafeteria tonight."

Drake had zero interest in their frat-boy energy. In the two minutes he wasted on them, Debra vanished.

He grabbed the ball, broke the defense in seconds, and dunked without breaking a sweat.

The others watched with their mouths agape.

"What the hell?"

"Bro, you're national team material."

"First time I've seen a dunk."
