Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1869

"I have," Andrew replied.

Debra's heart clenched. "Who?"

Andrew smiled, dodging the topic. "Go back to bed. I've got stuff to do. Stay home and behave."

Then he returned to his study. Barton approached. "Mr. Potter has a lot of work coming up."

"Who's the girl he likes?" she asked.

Barton blinked, caught off guard. "Mr. Potter's got a crush?"

"He said he's got someone he likes. How did I not know?" she said anxiously.

Barton sighed, "Well, that's his private business. I can't say without his permission."

"Tell me about the down-low. I won't snitch," Debra pleaded, tugging his arm.

"Barton," Andrew called from the study. "Get in here."

"Yes, sir," Barton said, gently pulling away. "Miss Frazier, I've got work. Go have fun."

"Hey!" Debra tried to stop him, but Barton was already gone.

Back in her room, Debra called Erica, who was busy dealing with a mess Andrew had caused her.

Debra was worried. She'd never imagined Andrew not liking her or liking another woman.

"No way," Erica said. "Andrew has a crush? She'd have to be something else."

Sensing Debra's mood, she added, "Don't stress. I'll dig into it. Let's see who the vixen is."

Erica dropped her work, turning to her secretary. "Find out if Andrew's been cozy with any women lately. Put it in a report."

The overworked secretary froze.

They'd been swamped since last night, and now Erica was chasing gossip. It was incredible.
