**The Unseen Kingdom That Followed Me Into Every Dream by Alyndra Meron Valeen**
**Chapter 221**
“No! I absolutely refuse to accept this!” Claire exclaimed, her voice trembling with anguish as tears shimmered in her eyes. She shook her head vehemently, her heart racing with disbelief. How could everything change so drastically in such a short span of time?
Before Sabina could muster a response, the unmistakable sound of hurried footsteps echoed from outside the room. The door swung open, and in stormed Cecil, Charice, Jack, and Sandy, their expressions a mix of concern and indignation.
“You foolish little brat!” Cecil’s voice boomed, filled with a potent blend of anger and sorrow. “Your grandmother was diagnosed with heart failure just a week ago! She kept it from you because she feared how you would react! And what did you do in return? You brought home a pretender and a jerk to deceive her!” His face contorted in pain, each word laced with a fierce indignation. “What kind of hidden agenda do you have, Claire?!”
Jack chimed in, his voice steady but laced with frustration, “Seriously! I don’t know what’s wrong with you, Granny. You’ve sunk lower than ever. You couldn’t even make her last days a little easier? Not even when she’s facing the end of her life?”
“Did you even notice the utter chaos that your pretender boyfriend caused downstairs? He pranced around like some royal figure, as if his presence was more significant than Blanc Inc. itself!” Jack’s tone was incredulous, disbelief etched into his features.
“But mark my words, he’s nothing but a con artist. There’s no way she’ll find happiness with him!” Jack concluded, shaking his head as if trying to rid himself of the very thought.
Charice seized the moment, her eyes gleaming with a cunning light. “Mom, don’t you worry about your family. You can leave this world peacefully. The husband we’ve selected for Claire is wealthy and a true gentleman—she’ll be happy with him. As for this fraud… we’re about to expose him right now!”
