Calvin fell silent. He felt so helpless that he wished he could disappear.

“Sienna, this is way too much. I really can’t take it,” Calvin said, shaking his head.

Josef knew it was a bit abrupt, but Calvin’s health really wasn’t great.

Just as he was about to say something, Sienna jumped in first, “Uncle Calvin, don’t make it sound so serious. If you still think of me as your niece, just accept it, okay?”

“Dad, just take it already! This kind of thing is super hard to get. If you don’t want it, give it to me–I’ll sell it and split the cash with you,” Josef teased.

Calvin was fuming. “Brat, shut up already!”

Josef just grinned. “Sienna, I’ll take it for my dad then. Thanks a ton. I don’t have much to give back, but if you ever need anything, just call me.”

Sienna shared a knowing smile, like a blossom bringing color to a snowy mountaintop. “You totally deserve this, Uncle Calvin. Actually…”

“Miss Enna, we have an emergency!” Lana came rushing over, clearly flustered. Sienna could tell right away that something bad must have happened- Lana was never this anxious without good reason.

Sienna looked back and said apologetically, “Uncle Calvin, let’s catch up another time. I have to run. Josef, if you need anything, just come find me at Hart Corporation. There are some things i’ll explain to you later.”

With that, she strode off hurriedly, leaving Josef watching her with stars in his eyes–she really was his idol.

“Dad, let’s get you to the hospital! We need to get you checked out and get that injection,” Josef said, urging him on.

Calvin grumbled, “Didn’t you just say you were going to sell it?”

“Dad, I was just kidding! There’s no way I’d sell it. But seriously, what happened back then? Why did Aunt Selina cut ties with us?” asked Josef curiously.

Calvin’s eyes darkened with pain and regret as he thought about the past. “Don’t dig into it. Let’s just go home.”

“Miss Enna, we’ve found Ms. Amber Hart–she’s up on a mountain outside the city,” Lana reported, her voice urgent.

Amber had been kidnapped. The one behind it was Jocelyn, who took advantage of Amber’s kindness and played the victim to lure her in.

By the time the bodyguards caught on, she was already gone.

Lana could feel Sienna’s intimidating aura pressing down on her. She lowered her head, not even daring to breathe.

Reno was drenched in sweat, nerves shot as she drove. “Yes, Miss Enna!”

On the mountain, the sky was a dull gray, heavy with the promise of rain. Jocelyn had her goons drag Amber up the slope.

Amber’s eyes blazed with hatred as she glared at Jocelyn. “Jocelyn, you’re a monster!”

She remembered how she’d seen Jocelyn being harassed by some thugs and, without a second thought, had stepped in to drive them away. When she saw Jocelyn covered in blood, she was so scared that she immediately tried to take her to the hospital.

But Jocelyn used the excuse of helping her pick up her phone to knock her out with drugs.
