Robert tilted his head toward Oralia with a mischievous grin. “Hey, you think we could make a killing if we leak his photos now?”

“Kid, you’ve got nerve!” Oralia gave him a thumbs–up. “I’m seriously in awe. No wonder you’re my goddess’s

son!”

After Landon finished the introduction, he stepped back respectfully, giving Eugene the floor.

Eugene walked forward at a relaxed pace and took the scat across from Chloe.

Darin placed the cooperation agreement on the table between them.

For a moment, everything else seemed to fade away, as if only Chloe and Eugene existed in the room.

Their eyes locked, seeing only each other.

“Let me introduce myself properly. Cosmos Group… Eric. Though I prefer it when you call me Eugene.” Eugene smiled and extended his hand.

Chloe looked at his offered hand and returned the smile. “LOVELESS, Chloe.”

She placed her hand in his. They exchanged a look that said more than words ever could.

Leo stood behind Chloe. As the company’s acting CEO, it was normal for him to be there, but he found himself sizing Eugene up repeatedly.

Height? Check. Build? Definitely. Looks? Absolutely. And his wealth? Beyond measure.

He caught himself sizing Eugene up like a father selecting a husband for his daughter and quickly shook off the thought. Standing straight behind Chloe, he watched as she and Eugene signed the cooperation

agreement.

Once the signatures were complete, Landon clapped. “Perfect. Darin, have PR release the announcement. From this moment, Cosmos Group and LOVELESS are official partners. We’re basically family now.”

“Family?” Leo echoed, slightly confused.

“We’re each other’s most important partner. From now on, our brands will rise and fall together, standing at the top as one,” Landon explained with an easy smile.

“Makes sense,” Leo replied with a faint smile. He shot Eugene another quick glance but said nothing more.

With the signing wrapped up, Landon suggested everyone move to the lounge area. The company had prepared plenty of food and drinks for everyone to relax after the busy event.

Oralia took Robert’s hand and left first. Leo and Landon exited together. Soon, the conference room emptied as if by unspoken agreement, leaving only Chloe and Eugene behind.

Chloe remained seated, her expression calm.

Eugene walked over to the floor–to–ceiling windows, looking down at the reporters still gathered outside.
