He Cheated I Rose: Making Him Regret Everything (Chloe and Arthur) novel Chapter 304

**A Promise Hidden in the Quiet Rain by Adrian Hale**
**Chapter 304: Price of Freedom**

Arthur observed the woman before him, tears cascading down her cheeks, and spoke in a measured tone, “Jennifer, please stand up and take a seat. We need to have a proper conversation.”

With a slight hesitation, Jennifer bit her lip, her emotions swirling within her. Eventually, she complied, rising and gracefully lowering herself onto the sofa opposite him. The air was thick with unspoken words as they faced each other in silence, each lost in their own tumultuous thoughts for what felt like an eternity.

It was during this stillness that Jennifer’s gaze fell upon the documents sprawled across the table—a legal agreement and a blank check, both starkly out of place in their current emotional landscape.

Her brow furrowed in confusion as she looked back at Arthur, a mix of bewilderment and trepidation etched across her features. “Arthur, what is all this?”

Arthur held her gaze with unwavering intensity. “Jennifer, I recognize the debt I owe you. You saved my life once, and that’s a weight I cannot simply cast aside.”

“Arthur, what are you trying to convey? I’m not following you,” Jennifer’s voice quivered, thick with unshed tears, as if she were bracing for an impending storm.

“These documents represent a ten percent stake in the Myers Group. I’ve already signed them. Once you add your signature, you’ll become a shareholder,” he explained, his eyes flickering to the blank check beside the agreement. “And if that doesn’t suffice, here’s another option—a blank check. Write in any amount, and I will honor it, no matter how large.”

Jennifer scrutinized Arthur’s steadfast demeanor, a bitter smile creeping onto her lips. “You’re trying to push me away for good, aren’t you?”

“If that’s how you perceive it, I won’t argue,” Arthur replied, lowering his voice, the weight of his words palpable. “Jennifer, regardless of your feelings for me, you cannot continue to target Chloe for such trivial reasons. What you’ve been doing is deeply wrong.”

A hollow laugh escaped her lips, devoid of any real humor. “What’s the point of discussing this now?”

“Chloe has never cared about our relationship. She despises us both—and yet you persist in harassing her, framing her, slandering her time and again. How could you justify that, Jennifer? What do you gain from this?” Arthur shook his head, a self-deprecating chuckle escaping him. “Honestly, I find myself repulsive.”

In that moment, memories of Chloe’s words echoed in his mind, a haunting reminder of his own failures. He realized it was his negligence that had led to this moment; he hadn’t cherished what he had when he had it, and now he was drowning in a sea of regret.

He deserved this torment. Chloe had severed all ties with them, yet they continued to drag her back into their chaotic lives. They were the ones at fault.
