He Cheated I Rose: Making Him Regret Everything (Chloe and Arthur) novel Chapter 348

**A Promise Hidden in the Quiet Rain**
**by Adrian Hale**
**Chapter 348: The Sapphire Gown**

The moment was electric, filled with anticipation and awe. Melinda’s voice broke through the air, her excitement palpable. “Wow, this dress is absolutely stunning! I can hardly believe that LOVE crafted something so exquisite. Which collection does it belong to?” Her eyes sparkled with wonder as they roamed over the fabric, taking in every intricate detail.

Before Melinda could delve deeper into her admiration, Zachary, who stood just a breath away from her, interjected with a teasing smile, “Actually, this is a one-of-a-kind design made exclusively for one person.” His tone was playful, hinting at a secret that only he was privy to.

“Who?” Melinda asked, tilting her head slightly, a playful challenge dancing in her gaze. She was clearly intrigued, eager to unravel the mystery behind the gown.

“Who do you think deserves such an extraordinary gown?” Zachary replied, his smirk widening, as if he already knew the answer would delight her.

“Chloe?” Melinda raised an eyebrow, her expression shifting to one of mock disbelief.

“Of course. Only Ms. Lewis is worthy of such a breathtaking dress,” Zachary confirmed, his voice dripping with admiration for the woman in question.

Melinda shot a glance at Zachary, taking in the sight of the lawyer who stood just an inch shorter than her. There was something charming about his confidence. “You lawyers certainly know how to use your words,” she said with a slight smile, her tone teasing. “Keep praising Chloe like that—I love hearing it.”

Zachary chuckled, unable to contain his amusement at her light-hearted banter. He then picked up the elegant gift box, cradling it carefully, and approached Chloe with a sense of ceremony.

“This dress was made especially for you by Mr. Rosewood,” Zachary announced, raising an eyebrow as he presented the box. “It’s perfect for you.” His voice was filled with genuine warmth, as if he were bestowing a great honor upon her.

Chloe’s gaze fell upon the gown nestled inside the box. It was a breathtaking sapphire-blue dress, designed to elegantly embrace the wearer’s silhouette. The skirt sparkled with delicate rhinestones, each facet catching the light, and Chloe could easily envision how radiant she would appear under the spotlight, turning heads and capturing hearts.

Eugene had designed this masterpiece himself. How had he managed to get her measurements so flawlessly? That thought lingered in her mind, a delightful puzzle that stirred her curiosity.

In any case, the dress was nothing short of a vision, and Chloe felt a flutter of excitement in her chest as she imagined slipping into it.

As the day of the banquet celebration approached, a young voice suddenly broke through her reverie. “Mommy, if you wear such a beautiful dress to the celebration, do you think Arthur will cry from regret?” Chloe turned to see Robert, her son, leaning casually against the doorframe, a playful smirk on his lips.

Chloe let out a soft sigh, the weight of his words settling heavily in her heart. Robert’s innocent question reminded her that the Lewis Group had sent invitations to all the prominent figures in the business world, including the Myers Group.

If Arthur had any sense of dignity, he would likely choose not to show his face at the event. But then again, given his unpredictable behavior of late, it wouldn’t be surprising if he made an appearance anyway, just to stir the pot.

Chloe’s eyes drifted back to the dress, the sapphire fabric shimmering under the light. This would be the first time she donned something so magnificent. Curiously, she wasn’t particularly concerned about how Arthur would react upon seeing her; instead, her thoughts were consumed by what Eugene would think. Would he be proud? Would he see her as the woman she aspired to be?
